Attention: Justwise, Frank, Vibrant and all Canadian student visa gurus in the house. Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, Please my lil cousin was offered PGC admission to study Information Technology for Spring(May) at Confederation College, Ontario, Canada. We have been so confused with the next steps to be followed given the raising rate of visa refusal at the Canadian Embassy. Please my immediate questions would be? 1. is the application for study permit different from the application for student visa application? 2. At what stage, is he required to go for medicals and biometrics? Thanks. |

Good Day All, Please I want to know what/how the process is likely to be from submission of documents to visa issuance if a Law Firm in Canada is handling one's visa request. Please help a brother. Furthermore, are the documents for visa application to be sent to the Law firm in canada? Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you. |

DeeWan:To be honest, it doesn't matter who submits the visa application. There isn't any favoritism given to the agent or third party that submitted. Matter of fact a foreign lawyer will simply ask for default documents and doesn't know the detailed requirements, methods etc most Nigerian applicant utilise when submitting applications. I am here in Canada and I know this for a fact.all you get is a default to do list.... |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 10:26am On Jan 30, 2020 |
elsteve:To answer your question, when you apply in Nigeria you're simply applying for a study visa. When you get to Canada at the first point of entry you will get the study permit at the counter from immigration officer. Note that the length of the study permit which also doubles up as a conditional work Permit cannot exceed the date of expiry of your current passport. 2. Biometrics is a default request for every applicant. You're required to go for it immediately after submission of visa application. Also note that medical can be done before submission and attached to the application or wait for the instruction from the visa office to go and do the medical exam at the designated hospitals.(kindly check the CIC website for the hospitals as this changes from time to time.) 2 Likes |

loba18:Firstly, when is the resumption date on the admission letter and have you paid your tuition fees? The requirements are simply broken into ; 1. Education documents 2. Employment documents 3. Sponsor/financial documents 4. Proof of home ties among others. However you need to ask your self basic questions like; 1. Do I have a sponsor? 2. My chosen program correlate or show progress with my previous qualification and work experience? 3. Do I have travel history and if not how do I cover up for this? 4. What's the province is I chose like? 5. Do you understand the basic policies and details regarding working and studying in Canada.most especially working to pay tuition.? 1 Like |

joyblinks:No agency can guarantee you trv, so authentic or not all they will do is what you can do yourself if you read up previous pages of this part. The only difference if you use them is to get to pathways with huge sums of money(all in the name of agent fee). If you have time, I will advise you do it yourself. Feel free to ask specific questions here and someone will definitely attend to it. Also, read from page 1 -10 or 20 of this part and you will have around 90% of the information you seek. NB: The decision you is yours to make though. As for registered agencies, kindly check CIC's to know those recognized by them. If you use any other they will apply like you did it yourself (not using the representative form) |

There is nothing like Samples. It Means Statement of Purpose, .... The purpose of everything.... SEARCHING FOR SCHOOL, APPLYING, GETTING ADMITTED, APPLYING FOR VISA, ..... WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ALL THIS ? The uniqueness of your Write up also stands you out, write like someone or some person earlier... you sound boring! nayo10: 1 Like |

Like i always say.... Truth Go Pain You, But You get Sense .. By force! Paying Tuition fee doesn't guarantee Visa.... Having a double mind about doing anything , is the first step to do anything, Doubt comes with Courage, don't be afraid to fail. Sponsoring Yourself my brother, seems to me like a tourist Visa, For how long do you intend to do that? Unless you are showing me a bank balance of 20-50Million, You will be dependent somehow in Canada. If you want to do Masters and come out with good grades like so many people write in their SOP, You have to concentrate on the EDUCATION and almost never work, unless you are some extra-Ordinary good student ... Guy You are coming out with an Average grade 50/100 (for Good students o). Assignments Alone can drive you crazy, You can have 6 Assignment in your email in Just one week, 4 slides in 3 days and 3 seminar in 2weeks to submit, Please what kind of a super man are you that you will do all this and still have distinctions , with exceptions 2 out of 100 people!. What does this go to mean, a VO, seeing you as a self sponsor will also see you as some one who will be more concentrated on working than Education, that while they ask for sponsorship in most cases, some countries in EUROPE won't even give you visa if you say you are self-sponsoring. This is not to diminish you are activity but to create in you a sound knowledge of all that is required of you, i wish you well. Onweke: 6 Likes |

Thats why you don't apply to one school, there are several time decision schools uses to get back to you... so if you apply to 4 schools, one will come out earlier than others betliveman: |

naijabat2001:Sometime ago, say about 2 or 3 years ago, medical request is about 95% assurance for an approved visa application. But towards mid/end of 2018, medical request now became a 50/50 chance. The important thing about medical request is that, it means a decision has been reached (favored decision though), just like what BVL now mean a refusal in sight. And this is why some people don’t believe and don’t bother doing a medical upfront but rather wait to be called. Because if you get a BVL without a medical request, it means they don’t need your medicals and you know what that means. So tell your friend that his/her a decision has been reached and his/her chances are good as long as all documents used especially BANK STATEMENT are real and genuine. Kindly share the profile/timeline here for others to see and learn from or get inspired. 3 Likes |

Hello Gurus in the house, I got my offer letter from School today for May 2020. I want to defer my admission to sept 2020. Please how do I go about it Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Obehi44: 3:29pm On Jan 30, 2020 |
dubajek:The same way you went about getting the admission. Write them an email asking to defer, if it not the write department, they will refer you to the right department. Follow up from there 1 Like |

tolatrends: Hello Tolatrends, Its very safe to create another gckey online account of you intend to still apply via online. Since you mentioned that your documents are much, you may want to also considering applying via paper route. Both routes are good. I hope you can make your decision from this. All the best. |
