Your uncle is not the one intending to travel... your circumstances in Nigeria is what will be assessed... with or without uncle’s support.. .. u must 1st prove urself to the ECO.. and then again if u need ur uncle’s support to be able to take your to be wife for shopping in the Uk then it means you are not financially stable enuff for a trip.. work on ur ties to Nigeria

. What about my uncle that’ll be supporting the trip...

@Giselle & @CandyBright, I appreciate you for your support throughout my visit visa application process.
Biometrics: 5th Dec 2019
I did “Keep my passport” so I was contacted last week Thursday to come submit my passport.
Meanwhile I was called on 2nd Of Jan from UK that the office number I indicated in my application wasn’t going through so I gave them another number to call in our HR department.
Passport submitted: 23rd Jan
Passport picked up: Today 30th Jan
6 months visa granted.
*Documents submitted:*
Intro Letter from my office (Bank)
My office ID card
My C.V
My employment letter
Promotion & salary increment letters
6 months play slip
6 months salary acct statement with 400k closing balance
6 months joint account with N12.7m closing balance
Letter of consent from my wife approving that I can withdraw money from the account for my trip & also why she won’t be going with me for the trip.
My wife’s salary acct statement (also a banker) with a closing balance of about 600k
My wife’s office ID
My wife’s Int’l passport & Newspaper publication for change of name
Marriage Certificate (from Church)
In my cover letter, I explained that all the money in the joint account are from our individual savings accts, there was a lodgement of N500k from a friend in the Acct which I explained but didn’t attach any document to back it up(he was owing me).
My salary N490k.
Monthly Expenses is N150k & budget for the trip is N650k (I got this from this Thread).
Hotel Reservation with price
Flight reservation with price
Document for Land (Deed of Assignment)
I have 2 cars but didn’t attach the documents
My son’s birth certificate & Int’l passport
I did a table in my cover letter which shows my budget for the trip & I did the budget in Naira.
I mentioned all the places I planned to visit including Buckingham palace, wembley stadium, Stamford Bridge & River Thames.
I attached my POE stamps to show I have been to Ghana & DUBAI & I mentioned Ghana was a visit & for Dubai, I won an award in the office & my office sent me on a trip to Dubai & I received the award over there.
I attached 1 family picture taken inside the house & 1 taken outside.
I attached 2 wedding pictures & 1 picture of the award presentation in Dubai. I indicated that I don’t have any family member in UK, not even friends.
I think that’s about everything I submitted & of course, a cover letter.
Once again thanks to @Giselle @CandyBright @Justwise

Graduation or certification can’t be confirmed by embassy, major reason they didn’t reply, Also you can’t enter embassy without appointment. Portuguese embassy should contact your university in UK for verification. Only university can verify and confirm your graduation and certificate. Better still request a letter from your university and send to Portuguese embassy, that way they will know how to contact your university if they need additional information

Hello everyone here, please I need your assistance on tourist visa to uk. I and my girlfriend will like to visit uk for weeding shopping for a week.I’m working with an international organization earning 70k basic salary with other insensitive if applicable but my girlfriend is a final year student with a virgin passport, for me I have traveled to Ghana, Dubai and Kenya, I have about 1.5m in my account I also have an uncle who’s ready to support us with banks document worth of 30m. What your advice please...

Your finance my be an issue here. The focus are more on income and ties to your home country. You gross 70k per month, that means you might need more than a year salary to finance this trip.

I don't think your uncle documents will carry any weight in your situation.

Even though you want to try your luck, that is fine. But if I were you, I will apply alone. Get the visa then you can use your documents and copy of the visa to apply for your GF.

Don't get me wrong, I have read on this forum about people with less money than yours that actually successful with their visa application. But the percentage are very low.

Pls help oo. There is a particular page that says an applicant should sign at the VAC but pple at TLS told me that i can only sign it if I uploaded at the center... I'm confused.

And the money I intended to spend is almost my 4 months salary. I hope that's ok?

Download booking.com app or go to their website & book the reservation, make sure u pick a hotel that has FREE CANCELLATION & NO PREPAYMENT. So after ur visa is approved, you can either cancel the reservation if you so wish.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Calypso1234(m): 10:22am On Jan 31, 2020
I suggest you visit TLS & tell them u want to change your application to “Keep my passport” & if they are able to change it, you would be asked to pay N27k for that. So once a decision is made on your application, you would be requested to submit your passport. But if they’re not able to change it, I don’t know what else you can do. May be you might have to cancel the application & reapply after your S.A trip (my opinion pls, I might be wrong).

I think you should be able to log in to your application and cancel it then request for the return of your passport.

Try that and see if it works or try what Calypso1234 suggested

Good afternoon guys, please I attempted to apply for a UK visiting visa and unfortunately the Gmail I opened after completing my application and making payment but alas the Gmail started asking for verification phone number and unfortunately it rejected all the phone numbers entered. So I had to open a new email and start afresh and a fresh payment and this time I succeed and was able to book an appointment after making payment and print out a payment confirmation.
But to my amazement in the TLS website I was ask to enter the scanned documents required for a self service and I really don't understand cause they're supposed to be the one to collect and scan such documents and take my biometrics so please enlighten me cause my appointment date is on Wednesday 5th February I'm really confused right now, thanks.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 5:22pm On Jan 31, 2020
They will only collect and scan ur documents if you pay for that service. It is about 10k. If you don’t pay for it, which most people don’t then you will do the upload by yourself(self upload). This must be done before you go for your biometrics.

thank you @justwise and @calypso1234

I went to TLScontact and they said that even if i requested a withdrawal of application, it lld take about 3 - 7 working days to have my passport returned. Since destination country is SA and those ones are highly unstable, I didnt bother again.

just told my office I ll be unable to go so that they ll nominate someone else.

I'm pained sha ☹
