Well, at the first watch, I couldn't grasp the convoluted plot line. It was only at the 2nd go- around that things became more clearer.

It may surprise y'all, but there are people today that are still perplexed by the convoluted plot line... an understandable dilemma imho.

Most times i ignore the standard rating & base my seeing of a movie on the number of 6s & 7s individuals/movie reviewers within IMDb rates such movies.
Here is how it's done. the individual reviews are computed & averaged before they arrive at a general rating. Most times, after the first computing and averaging, the rating is left at that position, irrespective of high individual ratings that might come up afterwards which wouldn't be considered, thus most times, the general rating is usually flawed & not truly what it should be.
Also, when I downloaded the movie sometime last year, it was 6.something, i cant really remember, either 6.1 or so.

leonard mistakenly killed his wife and his brain in order to cope with the trauma, invented a phantom killer.

leonard dedicated his life to hunting someone that didn't exist (thanks to his brain/mind lying to him), but along the way, he got used by people that knew about his medical condition for own selfish gain.

This was the movie Fractured copied, they basically did some little addition & subtracting to the actual story to arrive at theirs.

Abeg, no mind that guy. He wan just intentionally spoil fun for ppl here. Harriet is a fantastic movie. I'm not against all the movie ratings mekaprime has given. But this particular Harriet, D movie deserves 7/10 rating.

No Sire, being with her during her travails, would only make me an anachronism.
I did an academic paper on Harriet few years back, i was deeply buried in my research, that i felt great empathy for this outstanding woman, her sacrifice, bravery, strength & courage was next to none.
The historical inaccuracies depicted in the movie really rankled me, cause i know what it ought to be, hence, that movie was an insult to Harriet Tubman's legacy & frankly speaking, It would have been better if that flick wasn't made.

Only a series could really do justice to her story. But then, it could become boring.

The Upside:

Can't understand the bad reviews surrounding this film.

The performances from Hart and Cranston were moving and they had chemistry.

I'm even more happy for Hart as this film depicts he can be a fantastic actor.

On the other hand

The Shining......... Wetin I dey see for the past 1hr12mins na borefest. It's looking like if I jump straight up to Doctor Sleep I wouldn't miss a thing.

The last time I had this kind of shitty streak was in 2017(over 20 movies F9 ), since then I swore to myself — NEVER AGAIN!!! .
