Bodo-Bonny Bridge Completed After 50 Years by Blindersoff: 4:18pm On Jan 31, 2020 |
A brain child of Gowon back in 1970 after which successive governments came and went but none saw the need to follow through on this project until Buhari came on as President. This plan began 50yrs ago but today the Bodo-Bonny bridge is standing and the roads are almost complete. https://mobile.twitter.com/OvieAli/status/1222912573437370368 19 Likes 8 Shares

The failure of past leaders has left Nigeria at the level we are. Imagine a plan being delayed for 50years by other governments after Gowon but Buhari has turned it to a reality. Even one of the doubters decided to verify the news from someone in Bayelsa and below was the response 113 Likes 13 Shares

Yet for some reason a section of Nigeria hates Buhari despite his desire to ensure all past plans meant to put Nigeria right are carried out and concluded 137 Likes 15 Shares |

Ogegeodey: Yet for 50yrs past governments did not provide same infrastructure despite knowing it was already a plan by Gowon For your information 50yrs is half a century. Development delayed for a freaking half a century 61 Likes 10 Shares |

Lol, see ZOMBIES praising Buhari for NLNG's effort Before anyone comes to praise Buhari, tell him to release FG's share of the cost to Julius Berger to enable them complete the project. This project was awarded to JB at #120B but to be shared equally between FG and NLNG (#60b each). NLNG has since paid up their own #60b to JB which they have used to move the project to about 60% but FG is yet to pay up their own #60b to enable JB complete the work 161 Likes 13 Shares |

PMB silently achieving. Kudos to him. For those saying it is his job, well it is the job of the dozen or so Presidents and heads of State we have had in the past fifty years this project has been neglected and sidelined by one regime after the other. 36 Likes 4 Shares |

Oshigun: Yet people want Nigeria to be like Dubai if one project such as this and as important as this could be delayed for 50 whole years then I wonder how many more stayed delayed for same period 26 Likes 4 Shares |

What exactly did the SS and SE benefit from PDP in all their years in power? What? It was same Buhari who built the currently existing refineries in Nigeria. What exactly did PDP do? 64 Likes 6 Shares |

ghettokid1: He was in office as the head of state for less than 2 years. PDP ruled for 16 years and they earned more oil money than any other era or administration in the history of Nigeria so why are you not talking about the 16 years but so concerned over 2 years of Buhari as the head of state? Warri Itakpe railway was also abandoned for 30 years, including 16 years of PDP, but Buhari completed it in less than 3 years. OBJ/PDP first awarded the contract for Lagos Ibadan railway, but they abandoned the project and let it die and rot on the drawing board for 12 years, but Buhari started the project and is about to complete it in less than 3 years. Zik Mausoleum was abandoned for 26 years, even Jona that the SE region love so much did nothing complete the project, but Buhari completed the project in less than 3 years. 2nd NB was abandoned and left on the drawing board for 30 years, PMB started and is set to complete the project in less than 4 years. This is how you focus on the wrong thing because of hatred while the people you love and vote for swindle and abandon you for decades. 108 Likes 18 Shares |

revolt: Nothing got missing under his watch you lazy youth. Obasanjo investigated it thoroughly and cleared him of any wrong doing. I am sure you never knew this. And to your nonsensical talk about Buhari not building the refineries let me help you. 1) KADUNA REFINERY The lubricating oil complex of Kaduna Refinery is the first of its kind in West Africa and one of the largest in Africa. The consulting firm, KING WILKINSON of Hague, Holland, in conjunction with NNPC engineers, developed the plan for the refinery. The contract for construction was awarded to CHIYODA CHEMICAL ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF YOKOHAMA, Japan in 1977. http://www.nnpcgroup.com/nnpcbusiness/subsidiaries/krpc.aspx Muhammadu Buhari Was the Petroleum Minister and NNPC Head in 1977 2) WARRI REFINERY NNPC's long term plans for the development of a petrochemicals industry, were formulated in 1977, and were structured in 3 phases. The 1st phase comprised of 3 plants: a linear alkyl benzene plant (LAB) in Kaduna, and the carbon black and polypropylene plants in Warri. The 35,000 MTA Polypropylene and 18,000 MTA Carbon Black Plants built in Ekpan, Warri were commissioned in 1988 http://www.wrpcnnpcng.com/about2.htm Muhammadu Buhari was the Petroleun Minister in 1977 Anything else to dispute?
