My understanding of the part in bold is that Nigerians can no longer immigrate to the US except those that have acted as moles for the US government. Very harsh and unnecessary.

The Federal government should engage the US government diplomatically to get the restriction reversed. If Trump insist on keeping the restriction after all necessary engagements, we should consider a reciprocal decision.
The question is, what reciprocal power do you have? NONE! grin grin grin

Insecurity is the main reason.

All thanks to those idiots that were burning USA flag all because of one Iranian general that didn't even know they existed.

Do you know what it means to burn the USA flag?
The implication??

Imagine you see someone burning your company flag, then the next week, a relation of that person that burns your flag comes for employment.

Would you grant him employment?? not to talk of even allowing him step foot or get closer to the company's gate.

It means terrorists.

Our leaders have failed us.

the fact is that Buhari is trading with Russia and China and this is worrisome to US, with Russia aggreeing to complete Ajaokuta, and even promissing to build us two nuclear plant with a soft loan on top of that they gave us Apache helicopters which Americans would want us to wait till 2022 after paying 300million usd for mere super tucano turbo prop plane (planes with fan engine, not jet) this is upseting Trump

Over Staying rate of US visa by Nigerians have drastically reduced because of reduced Visa issuiance, even when it was on the rise Trump did nothing until we started looking for trade with the russians

.
you are not even ashamed to state these false things
russia should come and complete ajaokuta for you
and give you nuclear plant and propane fuel jet
you cannot even master electricity supply, basic things like health care
you want nuclear plants, as a philantropic donation,
wait russia and china will soon ban your big ass

What is your problem about emigrating to the United States. I thought you folks say Nigeria is an utopia under the present leadership.

It is folks that battle hard to change the status quo but are being persecuted I have an iota of sympaghy for. Not for those you who.... 'reinforce failure'.

Please this is not your sphere of influence. You folks are not running out of Nigeria. We will stay here together and battle it out in this cage match till the last man is standing. Nigeria will not turn to Honduras or Venezuela.

Thank you Mr. Trump for piling on the pressure on nations to sort themselves out. Please extend the ban.

On the other thread people are arguing about overstay of visa. It clear that the reason for this is insecurity. Identity management is all about profiling. When we are not serious about National ID registration and allowing unidentified people roam our land.

If we put our own house in order, will we have the need to go outside in search of opportunities? And with this US visa ban now, in no time, more countries embassies will follow suit. They'll start denying people visas more now because whatever US does usually has effect on most countries and now that we have been blacklisted by the US embassy, others will soon follow suit... What a shame! Let me just relax and see how this plays out. I kukuma know the dullard in Aso Rock can't do anything about it cos he's always clueless. Mtcheeww

So Trump is telling us only 6 countries in the whole world fail on this criteria.
Tell us if we are being punished for the currency swap deal with China because that's how Obama punished us by not buying our oil because we did not legalise homosexuals.

Nigeria should simply threaten the expulsion of all American corporations, the like of Chevron & Schlumberger . We'll give all their contracts to European and Chinese companies.
Ask US NGOs and all citizens to leave by end of February. Trump has proven again that he has no idea about foreign relations.
A sovereign country cannot simply hand over data of all citizens to you just because you are Mr America. STOP hiding behind legalities to stymie Nigerians(blacks).
