Please house am a silent follower. Partly because am considering my options between US and Canada.
But the recent visa barn to Nigerians to the US made me concentrate more on Canada. Moreover Canadian schools are considerably cheaper than the US and i learnt they don't deny genuine students visa like the US. Because i don't have a sponsor am looking at the cheapest schools in Canada. Am starting a fresh because i got a pass in my HND.
I've seen a cheap school in Toronto which is everything i need but it's a Community College.

Please has any Diploma student here ever been successful in the embassy?

Has anyone going for a diploma succeeded in getting a visa?

Please i need all the advice i can get fellow Nigerians.

Expecting your responses.
Thanks and God bless

Since you are starting afresh, why diploma? Why not undergrad at least? Just my question though.

I wanted to ask same question but I felt everyone is different, different perspective ...one might find diploma cheaper , every thing falls down to how huge your pocket is ..my 2 kobo

It’s not about finding it cheaper, it’s about getting visa.

Good day guys!!! Guys pls I want to confirm if McMaster University is a good school. I am almost done with the application and I have been trying to message them since last week but I have not gotten any reply from them. I don't understand what type of school does that ooo. Since last week. I have tried every means of contacting them that I saw on their website but nothing yet.
Please I don't want to fall victim. I want to be sure before I pay the application fee.

Trueeee that’s a valid point
So In essence it’s looking impossible to get visa using a college

Hi guys, my husband is my sponsor for my master program and he lives in USA. My question is will that be a disadvantage in getting the visa/study permit with a US base statement of account/sponsor? I’m about to submit my application with cic. Pls I need your advice. Thanks

Hello Gurus,
I re-applied fir study permit last year November 13th but my status still says that my application is still under review (Background Check and Eligibility). The resumption date for the school has passed. I had to reapply to the school, same program. I have been reaccepted with the same student id number. My question is, should I send the new acceptance letter to CIC through webform so that they can update it on my profile/ application?
Please i need ur advise.
Yes you can send the updated offer letter to CIC to let them know of the new development, though even if you don't send it to them they will ask when they get to the stage where it is needed.

My cousin got admitted for Master degree in HRM UofR -- Last year

Submitted application December 7th 2019
pre-medical document was uploaded.
Not sure why they are requesting for medical today.
Tell your cousin to send the receipt/proof of his/her medical to CIC immediately and let them know the medical has been done already. Congratulations in advance

His statement of account will only cover the aspect of funding, but as we all know, there are other things that are involved in securing TRV e.g hometie, personal asset, purpose of visit (if your intended program is related to your previous one or present job), e.t.c.
Try to fix every other aspects of your application as well.
To your question, yes a statement of account from US, Canada will convince the VO that fund will be readily available for your studies when it's time

Hello nairalanders, I just got an admission offer at centennial college, Toronto and the letter instructed I pay a certain amount from the tuition fee to letter of acceptance. Various payment options like global pay, flywire and CIBC buy I will like to know which of these is a better payment option to use?

Since you are starting afresh, why diploma? Why not undergrad at least? Just my question though.

Am going for Dental Hygiene. Its just 18 months rigourous intensive study and training. Even on Saturdays. Only free day is on Sunday. 7am to 8pm every day.

Diploma is what is required. Bachelors is for academician.

If you just want to get your licence and practice, Diploma is what is required for licensure.
You only go further to complete your Degree and subsequently get your Masters if you want to lecture.

In US as well Associates is what is required for Licensure.

Why kill myself getting a Degree i don't need. Or maybe later i change my mind and decides to lecture.

Please has anyone going for Diploma programs been issued a visa?

Going for a diploma as a graduate is tricky. What is required is a post graduate diploma. The question you should ask yourself is whether there’s progression in your career as you are going for diploma. Ordinarily, diploma isn’t a progression of career. If you believe there is, you just have to convince the visa official. The ball solely lies in your court.

I have completed the medical requested by ICC. How do I send the medical print out to web form? I mean how will I raise a web form for the medical?
