DAVE5: They are a bunch of selfish parochially minded he goats. The only solution is simply to industrialise and allow people get better jobs that will reduce people doing jobs like okada and keke riding. There are just a few things involved firstly we need to sorting out electricity and road issues first. 5 Likes |

For me it's a good idea but the timing is really wrong. What plan is on ground as alternative of livelihood for the bikers? How will they survive? Oh! May be we want them to be criminals, picking pockets and collecting phones, so the government would need to improve police force and other security agencies. We complain of traffic and our roads are bad with poor road networks. My point is as much as we are happy about the serenity on our roads, we shouldn't neglect those who would go hungry for this course. They are not trash, they are our brothers, infact the hardworking ones. I respect them far above the so-called yahoo boys. 1 Like |

MY MAIN QUESTION IS KEKE AND OKADA THE PROBLEM OF LAGOS STATE ? A STATE WITH PLENTY BAD ROADS, NO PLAN , NO NOTHING. EVERYTHING JAM PACKED TOGETHER . THE SO CALLED TOP OFFICIALS AND FAMILIES THAT BRING THIS DUMB IDEA HAVE ALSO RIDE BIKES AND KEKE AT ONE POINT IN THEIR LIFE IN ORDER TO MEET UP WITH AN APPOINTMENT. BUT OUR PEOPLE ARE SO DUMB AND THINK EVERY DECISION THE GOVERNMENT TAKE , IS ALWAYS THE RIGHT ONE AND ADAPT IT EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW IT'S A BAD MOVE . PROTEST KWA? NEVER THEY WON'T . I READ MANY COMMENT SAYING THAT IT'S A SWEET MOVE. IMAGINE YOU'RE A FATHER OF 3 CHILDREN AND YOU HAVE AN HAND WORK THAT DON'T PAY THAT MUCH OR COME STEADY AND YOU HAVE A BIKE THAT YOU USE AS A SIDE HUSTLE JUST TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE AT NIGHT AND BE ABLE TO SEND YOUR KIDS TO ONE OF THE AVERAGE PRIVATE SCHOOL IN YOUR AREA. NOW THIS YEYE GOVERNMENT HAVE BLOCK THE SIDE HUSTLE NOW . HOW WILL YOU SURVIVE NOW ? HOW WILL YOU TELL THAT KIND OF PERSON IN THAT SITUATION, IT'S GOOD MOVE .. THE OP SHOULD HAVE WAIT TILL MONDAY BEFORE HE/SHE ASK THAT QUESTION . I TRUST MANY PEOPLE WILL SWEAR FOR THIS CLUELESS GOVERNMENT GOFRONT: 3 Likes |

Powersurge: We still have Molue in Lagos o, they ply the Abule Egba, Iyana-Ipaja Route. While the white ones Oly the Ikorodu route. You should see these buses at oshodi, most of them don't even have breaks and the drivers usually spark two cables together to start them. 5 Likes 1 Share |

GOFRONT: I was traveling through Niger state, the number of used bikes I saw at location and a crowd of people inspecting the bikes, it seemed to come from Lagos as second hand. Those who invested on the bikes and keke will lose heavily. Demand for used bicycles will increase while the huge number of bikes and keke from Lagos will increase pressure on neighboring states. |

ImagineNation: Any city that want to develop to live comfortable don't need commercial transport such as Okada, keke and the less. what lagos need is light lane, standard water transport and government organize commercial buses. we don't need Niger republic, Benin and Togo republic to be mess up Nigeria biggest city with Okada. No tax, not ready to obey traffic laws. what will happens if a Nigerian living in lagos walk down to bus-stop to take a bus? in Europe is must to walk from your house or mall to Taxi rank. In our neighboring Accra Ghana, poor Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Gambia, Onitsha,Awka Abuja you must walk to Bus stop to take a bus or Taxi so what's wrong when people in lagos walk?. we need to contribute to make Lagos a good living place, we don't need to allow all this aboki to mess upo every where. they don't pay house rent, they live in batcher houses along badagry express road demarcation, is road demarcation a living place? I am support lagos state government 100%. is time we stop some nonsense 3 Likes 1 Share |
