Yoighaman: Re-read it again, they all factor into that security assessment. When doing these types of assessments; the US placed exposure to homeland risk and list various factors and assign points to them, then collect the final tally and make a decision base on the final tally, which in this case is overall security risk. e.g. Take two hypothetical countries scores Country A: 1. Identity management - 40% 2. Data & info sharing - 40% 3. Rate of immigration- 70% 4. Percentage of overstay - 19% Country B: 1. Identity management - 40% 2. Data & info sharing - 40% 3. Rate of immigration - 70% 4. Percentage of overstay - 10% Despite the fact that, the first data points are the same, the US will consider country A as a more security threat, because they are exposed to more individuals from that country compare to the other. Nigeria situation is also more complicated because the rate of migration from Nigeria is very high, such that for some years now, we have breached the statistical limits given to all countries on the diversity visa category and as such we have not been eligible for it. So, if you add the fact that Nigeria rate of immigration in Africa to the US is the highest, then Nigeria will present a higher security threat to the US, even if all other security risk barometers within those Africa Countries are the same. 1 Like |

seunmsg:Your head dey there jor! And guess what, many of our corrupt politicians privy to privileged information are their main moles. America has so much dirt on them they are forced to cooperate. So the average Emeka, Kunle, Osaze, Timpriye or Danladi is not needed. Sadly we have very little leverage these days. America produces far more crude oil than anybody else now. If we try reciprocating they will hit us even harder. So how they have hit China. |

Re: Travel Ban On Nigeria: Official US Statement by Redman44(m): 7:13pm On Feb 01, 2020 |
Nerro042: Very true. If you are abroad, the person or persons you are sending money to monthly is/are feeding better than you. They can spread that 10,000 to 25,000 Naira thinly and feed well than you, because they know where to get cheap foodstuff. They are eating Semovita, Amala ( both black & white ), Eba, Pounded Yam, all kinds of soups, They buy chicken, fish, meat, snails etc to spice their soups. You are in Europe or America working your ass off to pay bills etc. When last did the people you send money to in Nigeria send you a gift? When last did they buy common garri for you? Do they even ask about you and your welfare at all? Some of them are secretly building their house while collecting 10,000 naira from you monthly . |

Jaspernubi: Please stop that Rubbish you're spitting out. Hold your counselor, traditional rulers, local Government chairman, state house of Representatives, Rep members, senators and Governors responsible for your woes. What are these people I mentioned doing with the security votes and allocation given to them? At least your state should have been different from other parts of Nigeria since your state leaders are not from the North. Nonsense. |
