Dear Daddy G.O,

If you like, lead them to the wilderness in Chibok for prayers, it won't change anything.

You would have been resting by now, but your involvement during the 2015 elections is the reason why you're doing this prayer walk.

You better Walk Alone.
LOL. I laugh in swahili. I have always thought Christians were docile and I put the blame on the pace set by Adeboye especially. His message is always around prayers and miracles. I am surprised he came out for a protest walk. There is a limit to when to preach prayer and there is a time to send a no nonsense signal.

I have been expecting this ass far back as when the Christian woman was killed in Abuja. Nothing happened because she was just as member or they had not seen enough yet. I take the second option. Maybe they thought Buhari was playing with being sectional at the time. The impact has had far reaching consequences.

Well, it's hopefully better late than ever.

As a concerned Christian, and as a soldier of Christ and a loyalist of the Kingdom of God even into death to which my loyalty to the kingdom is unegotiatable, even at the cost of my blood even today which I can choose to give my life for if called by my Maker and the Almighty in chief, I believe and see this as a cowardly act and a turning aside from a direct and truthful approach.
Speaking the truth to power is more direct and profitable

Elijah spoke the truth to Kings

Moses confronted one of the craziest ruler of all times, Samuel. Speaking the truth in boldness like Paul did even to rulers during his own days is what God requires of you and not chapping. Chapping shows to an aggressor you're unwilling to assume responsibility and tkae charge hence his ego is further fuelled to cause more damage

As a concerned citizen of Nigeria, as a concerned Christian, as a concerned Catholic, as a concerned person, as a concerned husband, as a concerned would-be-father, we have spoken, the deaths of thousands have spoken, the death of Christian and Muslims alike (due to insecurity, corruption, political ineffective et al), we have argued, we have prayed, we have hoped, we have begged, we have sat and watched I say it is a welcome approach, even apostle Paul would breakdown looking at the way things are in Nigeria

Do you remember the walls of Jericho fell down flat, do you remember Moses leading his people out of Egypt?

The walls of this our Jericho must fall down flat

Signed: a concerned citizen and Christian

When certain people kidnapped a mixture of Muslims and Christians. Only a Christian was held captive

When certain persons kidnap the leader of another religion, it doesn't require soothsaying to understand what it clearly implies.

Even Europe released a memo less than two weeks ago about systemic killing of Christians even under the watch of security agencies.

The release of close to 1000 murderers who took innocent people's life is clear indicative to Tell some people the government belongs to them and they can do and undo and nothing would happen. Since this administration came in, mention cases where we've had successful convictions in clear cases of murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide

I wash my blood of the guilt of this nation by calling out all apologists of this administration to reconsider it's standpoint and posture

Please o. Let me tell this administration that they're blood thirsty murderers. I prefer to be in jail one year for sepkaing up than play politics by keeping mute. I rather not have government contracts, crude oil Wells. Than tell these guys what their ills are.

Simple. This is my standpoint

His LACK of involvement, you mean.

He has always stayed away from politics but the truth is, the decisions of politicians will affect everybody.

He is doing the right thing now. Nigeria is in a really bad shape. Things need to get better not worse. That is the essence of our education - to improve the human experience.

If we cannot improve our lives then we have failed as humans. A reasonable person would speak up against regression and the repression of lives and the systematic cleansing of spiritual beliefs.

He didn't need to be involved in politics to have screamed against injustice and unfair treatment of sections of the country. I even saw his silence as playing tacit politics.

Martin Luther King na pastor. So is Kukah and Desmond Tutu. Their names are forever remembered for the fight against injustice. I think we are now eventually going through that phase at last. Christians also need to show they can fight for their rights else the balance in this country will be lost forever.

Divide the country and let the north be on their own. Terrorism will never stop in this country as long as muslim exist in this country.

I am more pained by the death of Nnadi the 18 year old catholic seminarian boy.

Let's stop this self-deceit and speak the truth.

You are holding people to a standard that you would not want to be held to.

If we go about interpreting the silence of people how many would we wrongly accuse? And what point does your accusation prove now that he is actually demonstrating against a somewhat institutionalised persecution? Why are you splitting hairs?

He distanced himself from politics most probably because it is a case of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”, as evidenced by your comment and those others castigating him.

Many Muslims have been held as well. Only a misinformed person would believe that Boko Haram is entirely driven by religion or religious convictions. It is a terror group, and its ultimate goal is to spread terror. Leah would have been released if she had renounced her faith. The group did not seem interested in any of the girls, at least not as much as they were in the Chibok girls. So, they allowed the girls go as soon as they renounced their faith. They did not even attempt to force the girls to learn the Quran as they did with the Chibok girls. As long as you renounced your Christian faith (they didn't care if it came from the heart), they let you go. They let many of the other girls go. But kept Leah because she wouldn't renounce her faith. They probably would have also let her go or even murdered her if the uproar that greeted her continued captivity did not arise.

When certain persons kidnap the leader of another religion, it doesn't require soothsaying to understand what it clearly implies.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the act is driven by religious convictions. The emir of Gwoza was a Muslim yet he was attacked by Boko Haram and killed. Many Islamic clerics have been attacked and killed, and many mosques have been bombed. Boko Haram will go against anyone who opposes their ideologies, even if that person were a Muslim.

Even Europe released a memo less than two weeks ago about systemic killing of Christians even under the watch of security agencies.

Who is Europe? Do you mean the European Union?

Many alleged Boko Haram members have been released by the law due to a lack of evidence against them. And there are the ones who were found guilty who have gotten even life sentences. There were the repentant ones who were deradicalized and reintegrated into society. This is bad strategy, it doesn't mean the government is for/in support of Boko Haram. The intention of the government was to encourage the other fighters to lay down their arms and embrace peace. Think of it like a peace offering. I feel it is a bad strategy, and that there might be better strategies. But to use this to accuse the government of favoring Boko Haram is rather shallow.

The primary place of service of any minute is the pulpit. If it can't be done, then retirement should be the way out. Another thing is being coy, cunny and docile. I'll never be on the same page as long as passivity is employed.
