You should also be interested in the Graphic card of the laptop. Get something with good graphics. Your budget is a little too tight. I think you knew that but you came here to be sure.

A core i5 with Nvidia Graphics (or Radeon) of at least 2 GB dedicated memory with a RAM of at least 6GB will help you get started on serious projects.
