Greetings everyone, I actually just ran my CRS for eligibility and my Score was 426 with LRWS - 8,7,7,7 but after maxing out the IELTS score it gets upgraded to 441.

My questions are :

1) How visible is acquiring an LRWS - 9,8,8,8
2) Is CRS 441 go enough for the entry pool
3) If I don't meet CRS cut off is the student visa route advisable?

Regards.

1. If your vision is 9888 and you put in the work, it's feasible.

2. You can enter the pool with any CRS points so far you meet the eligibility requirements.

3. Impossibility is nothing. smiley

Ices takes longer (20 weeks or so) than Wes (7 weeks) and charges per credential evaluated, Wes charges only once for all credentials.

Thanks

Good evening all, please has anyone done transcript request from UI postgraduate school for WES. I want to know if I can make the transcript request online.

Don't request online. Just go to the PG school or send someone to initiate the process for you and get a PG connect. That way its faster and you can also monitor its progress through the contact person. All the best.

Hello, all

I felt the need to give back to nairaland because you guys are the read MVPs! During our process I always came running here when we needed advice/comfort (when WAEC temporarily stopped selling scratch cards and hubby needed it for WES, when the golden email was taking forever - do I have a witness? - to come through, and just recently when we wondered when our passports would be returned).

So this is me giving back, hoping that someone will find this a little useful like I've found countless posts on here useful too.

So, here is our Road to Canadian PR Journey.

Family of 3

PA (me)
IELTS - Sept 2018 - band 8
WES - Nov 2018

Spouse - IELTS - Nov 2018 - band 8
WES - Jan 2019

Got into the Express Entry pool - Feb 2019
ITA - Feb 2019
Medicals - April 2019 (submitted application shortly after)
Request for biometrics email - May 2019
Wait... Silence... (Agony) LOL

Oct 2019 - Asked to submitted additional family information (this came two weeks before we were supposed to hear back - according to the timeline on our profile – so we knew we probably would not hear back when we were supposed to)
We then requested for our GSM notes

Nov 2019 - found out the pending issue was my letter of employment, which didn’t have a date.
2 Dec 2019 – asked for another (dated) letter from my employer and uploaded it.
9 Dec 2019 – Golden email (Ready for Visa email)
10 Dec 2019 – submitted passports
Tried tracking our passports on the VFS website (it did not work and I think this is a general problem)
8 Jan 2020 – notified that passport had been issued
16 Jan 2020 – came on Nairaland and saw a post by asfreeasabird saying if you submitted your passport at Lagos VFS between 10 to 17 Dec, that it’s probably lying around at their office. We went to check and alas it was.

Final note –

1. There is a distinct difference between immigration AGENTS and immigration CONSULTANTS. We used a licensed immigration consultant. I would advise anyone to. They are straightforward and it is worth every kobo.
2. Do not compare your journey to other people’s. Your case officer is different, your experiences and qualifications are different.
3. Make haste while the sun shines. Sovereign policies are constantly changing, as are organizational policies. For example, when we first looked at the WES website in July 2018, Nigerian graduates didn’t need to submit their WAEC results and scratch card. By the time hubby started processing his WES in Nov 2019, they had to. I hear now that WES has again reverted to their original stance. Yes, money can be a hindrance but do what you can with the money that you save up. Get them out of the way one by one. IELTS. WES. Any other requirement. Don’t delay.

I evaluated mine and it didn’t recognize it as a one year diploma. It just reads Canadian equivalency: completion of study and training in Montessori teaching methods. I couldn’t use it as another certificate.

Pelsodu:
Hello everyone.
Pls i would like to ask...has anyone done a diploma or Certificate course with MMI London(Modern Montessori International)? can this course help to boost CRS score.

I am hurt emotionally.

Please I need your advice on this. My IDP MOD, IELTS result is LRSW - 7, 7, 7.5, 7 and with this result, my CSR score will be 408. However, if I had 8 in listening my CSR score will be 472.

Do you advise I remark listening module? Is there a chance it will change to 8? My birthday is coming up in two months time consequently, I will drop by 5 points.

Please advise I need to get ITA before my birthday...

You still have time to rewrite. Don’t bother remarking you’re listening it won’t change... you can register for CBT ielts it comes out faster than paper based ielts and has more dates so you can have the required scores before ur birthday. Good luck. A lot of people have been in your shoes and persevered you will also.

The clause on my RPRF request was "admissibility review is currently in process", did you have same? I received the request on Monday night last week and paid same day. Additional documents status currently reads "we are reviewing the additional documents you provided", it changed from "the additional documents you provided have been uploaded" on Thursday. I'm not sure what to expect. When did the status on yours change to "Not applicable" please?

Got mine on January 16, paid same day. Changed to NA a week later and i got PPR on January 24. Expect yours within 2 weeks MAX

Yes, what does it mean

Could mean they are on the last leg of reviewing your application, and that Eligibility is passed. I would say you should expect the golden mail soon. Congratulations are in order!

you do not need any consultant. They charge over 1m in naira for something you can do yourself. He only helps you upload documents and give advices you can get from nairaland or other groups.
