To be frank, all these complaints are but for a while. How did you think people residing in states where this already took place felt when it was implemented?
There were VERY FEW buses, of course the prices of the buses you would see were hiked, you would stand under the sun for lo :-Xng minutes before seeing even one bus, other times you would be forced to TREK because you couldn't wait anymore for what seemed like forever.
It was so hard... even though it wasn't funny and there were a lot of complaints, we KNEW this was the SURE WAY to sanitize the state, to safeguard lives and have the environment look like human beings were indeed the inhabitants and not wild animals(with the way non buses were driving like no other human was on the roads except them, even pushing out pedestrians from their side of the walk.)
The trek was difficult but funny enough, good for the health!

But NOW? A breath of fresh air. You're happy to see sanity when you step into traffic. At least you can walk comfortably with no one pushing you into the gutter.
Soon enough EVERYONE will get used to it. More and more buses will come out till it's completely normal again.

So endure, good things don't come easy. You'll sweat it, but you'll enjoy the harvest.

Only hoping that Lagos will INDEED become sane after this, because Lagos?? Another place on earth entirely. LOL

i took a bus to obalende this morning and was forced to trek from obalende to VI.

To be honest i enjoyed the 35 minutes trekking.

As for me, i prefer the bikes and keke do not come back.

Lets trek as we use to do and improve our health.

Your last paragraph is the real deal.

For some cities I know where similar ban took place, it is not for bikes and tricycles at the same time.

It is not in the entire state. That of Lagos is practically the whole state considering the inter-LGA people ply on day to day basis.

Their population is not the same with Lagos.

Don't look at Lagos as capital of a state or a city in a state. You don't implement such policies across board when there are no palliatives. It simply won't yield positive results.

Ask people who are old enough how it was during SAP RIOT of 1993.
