There was no wait time for me. Like I said, I did not want to waste my 1 shot opportunity, so I did G2 first to know how they grade the road test/ how nice the drivetest personnel are. Then I did the G afterwards..did both in a space of 2 weeks. Mind you, G road test is not so easy... lobell: |

TheCapitalBand: Hi, you might find this link helpful per CPA's Mutual Recognition Agreement (the MRA) with CIMA, U.K. https://www.cpaontario.ca/become-a-cpa/why-cpa/internationally-trained-accountants/cima-mutual-recognition-agreement |

Lucas4903: Bonjour... I actually don't think you said anything contrary to the submission made by the person you quoted. He posited that without the knowledge of French language, one would have some settlement problems and you only went ahead to confirm this. You confirmed Nigerians are leaving Quebec cause of language barrier. You also confirmed you were the only English speaking person in your unit and had to learn French on the go. Though you eneded up a greater version of you, having to learn a new language to fit in could be somewhat stressful for a lot of people, you know. I've also noticed that a lot of job ads from Quebec usually had that clause "French language is mandatory..." and that could have been the poster's source of information. One doesn't have to live in Canada to know Canada is cold. Lol Moving on, I speak French. Any tips for maximising the benefits of this in Canada? Should I write exams? 27 Likes 1 Share |

How do you register for Ontario Health Card BEFORE you get accommodation? I've been refused registration at Service Ontario cuz I don't have a document to show "proof of residency in Ontario". Currently staying at AirBnB. Urgent Pls!!! |

Lucas4903:You simply affirmed what the other guy you quote stated. Or is there any message you are trying to pass?. . The statement you made in quote "I won't argue much but it is better to experience than to draw conclusions from the experience of a few people" somewhat validates your personal experience as unreliable. 13 Likes |

Helli house. Please I need professional advice from you all. I had applied for masters last year and got denied. Now my eca and Ielts will be ready next week and I want to enter the pool. Do you advice I create another account or I use the previous account I used to apply for a study permit that was refused? Please someone should answer me |

Morning seniors. Got PPR and should be coming with my family by summer. Stuck between choosing Alberta and Ontario. I heard rents are cheaper in Alberta, the minimum wage is higher than ontario and they pay less taxes. However, I am concerned about job opportunities. Studied law and i don't know if there are readily available paralegal jobs in Alberta that i can do while i take steps to getting enrolled to their Bar. Wifey studied Economics, and is looking at Admin Roles whiles she gets additional qualifications. So what do you advise? Ontario or Alberta? 4 Likes 1 Share |

@ oyukuwife I hope someone would be able to give you a direct advice, because my response does not advice a particular stand. My opinion points to the fact that you would still have to indicate you have applied for a visa before (whether a successful or unsuccessful attempt). While creating Express Entry profile, this question would be asked and it is most advisable to state things as they really are. I do hope much more experience folks, advice you ASAP. However, I believe that the fact that you had your study visa application denied, does not affect your express entry/PR application in any way, negatively. All the best. oyukuwife: |

maternal: I apologize in advance for saying this. But that was rude. Re-read the OP's post and re-read your answer. We should desist from "catching cruise" on people who genuinely want answers. Let's be respectful. Again, apologies, I hope you don't get offended. 17 Likes |

damilola1978: In Alberta you're allowed to attempt the advanced road test as many times as you like. It costs twice as much as the basic road test. So the more you fail and retake, the more money they make. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Lansky: What address did you give for your PR card? Do you have a bank account? What address did you use? If they've issued you a debit/visa card in an addressed envelope, you can take that to service ontario and show them. That's what I used, and it was a temporary residence. I updated my details when I moved. You can also ask the bank to mail your statement to your address via Post, then use that as evidence of residence. 9 Likes 6 Shares |
