Trump acquitted of obstruction of Congress Trump has officially been acquitted of both articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress and will not be removed from the office. Trump is acquitted of abuse of power It’s official: Trump has been acquitted on the first article of impeachment, abuse of power. The final vote, as expected, was REP. 52- DEM 48, with all Democrats and Mitt Romney supporting conviction. Second article of impeachment The vote is under way on the second article of impeachment, obstruction of Congress. The final vote is expected to be 53-47 because Mitt Romney , who voted “guilty” on the first article of abuse of power, has said he will vote “not guilty.” As with the first article, the vote is expected to fall well short of the two-thirds majority needed to remove Trump from office. |

Rubio, Cruz and many other Senators also dont like Trump. They just dont want.to hand democrats any advantage. The acquital is in but like the State Of The Union address it has fallen flat. Many people feel it is rigged without witnesses and Trump is completely de-mystified. What remains is a nasty opponent in November who can ridicule, rehash the key parts of the Ukraine scandal and paint all the flaws of this con job in the White House in so many colours. |
