You're always fond of writing rubbish. I just tire for you. Shey it's because you don't reside in Lagos, that's why you're spewing these jargons. Maybe, if you were here, you'd have had too much sense to see that it's not easy. Sheybi, I wantu to go to Lekki now, no bike, I should order Uber, abi? Or I should start hitch hiking these Lekki boys cars here wey no go even reason you, not like it's even my thing sef. If Sawa-Olu abi na Sanwo-Olu knows what is good for him and wants the peace of the masses, let him return all the Opay/Go-Kada bikes and napeps. It could've worked better in other states, but certainly not a cosmopolitan city like Lagos. Biko, I can't coman die because of trekking. Las las, we go buy car. Onye ara. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Can we talk about something else on Nairaland? All these Lagos okada ban articles are becoming annoying? Is Lagos the only state where commercial motorcycles were banned in Nigeria? Why can't Nairalanders move on and deal with this reality? 2 Likes |

The truth is development is painful but it pays off, Some of the people shouting lively hood up and down don’t even know their jobs are currently been replaced by robots and AI. Definitely they are going to suffer, but should Dey not use this opportunity to venture into other sectors. Imagine the huge market in marine transport and other services . I mean we sometimes don’t think like developed people yet we shout we want development. Mtssssw 1 Like |

Insightful I support the ban anyway. I'm a badagrian my route is lagos badagry expressway and this riders are the reason why we have traffic jam on that road. Moreover there are speed boats going to apapa from badagry if you don't want to use the road use the waterways 5 Likes 1 Share |

Intact if I was a smart investor I would begin to invest into alternative transport in Lagos! Something I though Gokada would have quickly ventured into. But dem chose to be dumb and sympathetic. Don’t run a business that is against the law . 1 Like |

According to u: "there exist a consensus in Lagos that Okada and Keke operators have been constituting themselves into menace in the city? Even when everyone agree that they are very uncoordinated and contribute greatly to the insane traffic situation in the state? Even when everyone know that they pose security risk to the lives and properties of Lagos state residents?" Pls, how did u arrive at d "consensus"? Did u take a survey? What research did u do to arrive at ur conclusion that "there exist a consensus in Lagos that Okada and Keke operators have been constituting themselves into menace in the city"? Also what and what have they done that qualifies as "constituting themselves into a menace in the city"? Again u said "Even when everyone agree that they are very uncoordinated and contribute greatly to the insane traffic situation in the state?" Pls who is d "everyone"? When did u speak to "everyone" on d subject matter? How do keke and okada "contribute greatly to the insane traffic situation in the state"? Since their ban, has d "insane traffic" in Lagos vanished? According to u, "Even when everyone know that they pose security risk to the lives and properties of Lagos state residents?" Once again, u said "everyone". When did u discuss with "everyone" in Lagos to have arrived at ur conclusion? How do keke and okada "pose security risk to the lives and properties of Lagos state residents?" 2 Likes |

This guy is daft. I support the ban of Okada in Ikeja Which is the capital of Lagos state but other place should be regulated. In Uyo,there is no Okada only keke napep while in Ikot ekpene to other villages, Okada operate from 6am to 6pm. You and Lagos state government no get sense at all. |

U also said "we sometimes don’t think like developed people yet we shout we want development". Pls how is d Lagos state govt thinking like d govts of "developed people"? 2 Likes |

Although some people are feeling the economic effects especially those that depend on it, but now Lagos state looks better and decent since the ban took effect. Especially Victoria Island environ. All the shanties before bar beach are no longer there, all the open defecation have disappeared. The roads look cleaner and serene. I think Sanwo Olu got it right and the ban should stay. 2 Likes |

lexy2014:You mean to disagree that alternatives that beat Okada and Keke as mode of transportation do not exist? Or do you still wish to dispute the facts that this same Okada and Keke drivers can be trained to man dem? Don’t you want safer transportation systems . Don’t you think investors should use this opportunity to leverage and build better transport systems in Lagos? 1 Like |

[s] TonyeBarcanista:[/s] From the bolded, it is confirmed that you and your governor are myopic. As far as you are concerned, you only focus on the operators and their source of their livelihood while blinded to the incomparable services rendered by these operators to the helpless Lagosians. What have your governor really done to take Lagosians to the nook and crannies (unmotorable) and commercially unfavourable routes that Marwas and Okada used to do? Nothing sensible! Rather, you are buying high capacity buses and flying boats. Is it a high capacity buses or flying boats that will take me from ijesha Market inward Odò-Ẹran (itire)? Spit! |
