msbaileyz: So they didn't see your Europe travel history to consider that you're a frequent traveler? Those UK ECOs are really annoying. Apply to SA and visit CapeTown or Go to Sao Paulo or Floripa in Brazil and enjoy your money. 1 Like |

When a document is investigated, it is actually verified at the source. Not along the chains of people but at the very source... international passports, visa stamps, bank statements, employment letters, work documents, educational certificates to name but a few. It will be verified at source. A different scenario is when they have been unable to detect if something is fake or not, maybe they were not able to get in touch with an office or a contact, they will simply state it as such..... efforts to verify so and so were unsuccessful as we were not able to reach bla bla .. and it would be left at that... I think irrespective of any visa application you should have taken this up with NYSC and/or the embassy cucumbar: |

Williegh: Disposable income is the money left after you have remove your monthly expenses from your monthly income. So if u earn 200k monthly and your monthly expenses total is 50k then your disposable income will be 200k - 50k = 150k. The 150k left is ur disposable income |

Williegh:Disposable income is your gross income minus taxes. Net income/earning is your gross income minus all deductions (including taxes, loan repayment etc) i.e your take home |

cucumbar:was the certificate issued at your request? The time to correct the record about the document was 12 or 13 years ago when it happened. There isn't anything that can be done now. Sorry about all this stress, just when you apply still see if you could discuss everything with them once again in the additional section information and cover letter. |

Good day everyone, thanks so much for the response, I have cancelled the application and trying to apply for another with my new passport number.... please I'm a bit confused.. I'm seeing people talking about cover letter or so... Please can a person going for a conference also write a cover letter.. if yes, what and what, can i write there .. And again, I'm employed with monthly salary of #155 250 after tax , I spend 50k every month and going for a conference, in which my employer is sponsoring me with 700k . In my application form, I said I have #949,786 in savings. And planning to spend #621,400 .. I want to ask.. what do they mean by how much money do you have in savings? ... Does it include the 700k from my sponsor or the money I have ... and again I hope #621,400 is not too much. Or I should reduce it ... Actually going for a 7days visit... |

ighodarovictor: The ECO mentioned that he/she considered 2 things. 1. Funds 2. Immigration history Although he didn't elaborate on the immigration history, but obviously a background check was done and something wasn't consistent with your application. How about you look into that as well? |

Gracious13:1. You can write a cover letter to explain anything you want the ECO to have further understanding about especially regards you and/or this trip, your circumstances, you coming back to Nigeria, financial history, ties, marriage, investments, children, property, assets, travel history u want him to be aware of. When you get to the additional information section of ur form, write some of it there and tell the visa officer to please also check for more information in ur cover letter. 2. How much you have in savings refers to your own personal circumstances. Your own personal money that you have that is classified as savings to you. 3. 621k budget depends on what exactly you are been sponsored for. If it’s a business trip/conference as you say you are going for, try and reduce it so that the 700k u are declaring that your company is contributing will be seen to be more than enough. 4. Pls I hope you have all documents and a strong compelling letter from your employer to back up this trip and finances so that u dnt get denied. 5. Fill the application well where it is asked is anyone paying for all or part of your trip. 6. Don’t forget to have a good written out plan also in the application form and ur cover letter on what you plan to do in the UK from your arrival till your departure. It shows seriousness. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Gracious13: 12:28pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
Its not my first time... I've been denied once.. I applied 2018 , when I was engage in NYSC .. reason for refusal- I'm not satisfied you have the funds stated you will spend on your visit to the UK .. 1. Ok, 2. Oh , the mistake I made is, I added the money from my sponsor to my saving 700k + my own personal savings ... I actually wrote 950k as d closing balance ... I can still edit it... Pls put me through 3. Ok , what if I reduce it to 570k... 4. Yes I have my employment letter, 6 months bank statement and payslip, bank reference letter, 5. Yes, I mentioned my employer.. 6. a good written out plan in my application... How do I do go about that. And in my cover letter giselle237: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 12:30pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
@gracious U said your employer is sponsoring... with how much? And they have to issue you out a comprehensive letter to state this and why... not just employment letter or payslips from ur end Is it really a conference sponsored by ur company? If its not your salary of 150k will not be good enough for u to apply standalone.. |

In the sction of the visa form where you were asked if you have ever been deported or denied entry into any country, did you tick Yes/No? If you have said NO, the probably have found out it happened hence the ECO didn't go into details. If you had said YES, they might ask you for further explanation and i think you somehow still have a chance. I have seen cases where people deported or Inadmissable to USA get visa to UK. And i have seen cases where someone said NO but still got the visa despite having a life ban from USA. Pls note i am not judging you o, nobody holy pass. These ECO matter dey weak me sometimes |

Still finding it difficult to understand the number 2 .... The question: How much money do you have in savings. Does it include the money from your sponsor? I mean the account closing balance... Please giselle237 , put more light... giselle237: |

ritze:I answer yes..if that is the reason for denial, they should have indicate it in their website rather than collecting my visa fee and the inconvenience involved. I will re apply in near future. |
