Hello guys, this is Tochiphotos. You guys know how much I love promoting the image of Nigeria and our culture here in Russia.

So today I cooked Egusi soup and went to the streets of Saint Petersburg, Russia and asked Russians to try egusi and eba and tell me what they think about this our delicious and cuisine.

Majority of them loved it but they all complained of pepper but apart from that they loved it.

You know their foods do not contain spices like pepper because they are not used to eating such. Same way you will eat theirs and you would almost vomit because no pepper.

egusi itself is a spice or would I say a seasoning . Nigeria is the only country that I know that created a soup out of egusi. Other countries dont make it a soup but a sauce. We use more egusi to make it a soup but most countries that I know in Africa use less egusi to make a sauce or stew.

If you fry egusi, tell me what does it taste like to you?
