We qualified because we had already defeated Mozambique and the USA defeated Mozambique again. We have one loss and one victory, while Mozambique has two losses.

We also defeated Mozambique by a higher points difference than the difference between Serbia and us, therefore we are higher on the table.

P.s. The US has already qualified as World Cup winners and they are only playing this tournament just to fulfil their obligations. There are two tickets up for grabs and only Nigeria, Serbia or Mozambique can grab them.

Chiney is more of a journalist at the moment. She was Kwese TV's "Africans in the NBA" correspondent when the channel was still functioning. She tracked Nigerians in the NBA and reported on events like the NBA Africa Game. (I watched her on Kwese-DBN until the station collapsed).

Kwese TV collapsed last year and Chiney signed a deal to become a full-time analyst with ESPN.

Losing to the US by just 5 is incredible. And for them to have been leading as well shows their lack of fear.
They are worth being proud of. I hope they know there are people in Naija that are following them from a distance.
