If Pep won the UCL, travelled to Qatar for WCWcup and decided to ghost one game after all the hectic fixture schedule, I don’t think many people will be on his case.

Likewise if Klopp deliberately leaves a sub seat empty cos “they foul Mané a lot and I don’t have players”, e go don fall plenty hands.

But Klopp is not like that and Pep hasn’t smelled UCL semifinal with City.

Towards the end of last season Pep’s team were getting fatigued and they stopped going gung-ho in the EPL. They started winning games 2-0, 1-0, etc.

And eventually they didn’t make it to the UCL finals.

Now if they did and resumed this season without much rest (hellooo Nations League, Club tours, etc) and are in all competitions up to this moment with a good chance of winning them, Pep should get some time off with other players on a mandatory winter break since there isn’t much risk in letting his subordinate take charge of a replay match against a lower opponent.

If things go burst and he ends the season trophyless then the consequences will hit him.

I don't agree with this your submission. Fred has stepped up big time, I reckon if McTominay was fit, Fred would still have outshined him. Bar Pogba and Bruno (arguably), Fred is our most technically gifted midfielder...

Fred has loads of energy and I still see him waste it.

For one he tries to make himself available for almost every pass, disregarding how many opponents are close to him. This is Wrong.

Just make yourself available to the next available person. Simple. Allow the ball come to you. Don’t force it.

And he always does this stup1d thing of rushing into tackles upfield when he loses possession - tackles he knows he has almost zero chances of gaining the ball back. When he’s bypassed we have about 3 players behind him to defend the counter attack. One of those almost resulted in a goal in our last game. De Gea saved it or sth.


Don’t get me wrong. He’s improved from the jittery church boy we saw in 2018/early 2019 and is our most hardworking midfielder but I still need to see more intelligence from him (esp. off the ball).

If it was about running alone, Lingard would be winning player of the year every year.

Whether McTom will be ready or not, Ole has shown he’s not really someone that can take criticism.

Fred practically says the team has problems, he might not talk about the manager but he indirectly took a shot at him. We will see how our manager and players will react after the break.

I’m of the opinion that Ole will lose that dressing room soon if things don’t change.

If you look at that Fred statement critically, he actually implied that some players are not listening to the manager and doing things their own “individual” way. That’s assuming that Ole is teaching them what to do in the first place.

I even forgot Ighalo. The problem with that front 3 is that none of them is comfortable operating from the right bar Greenwood who isn't a starter yet. I agree with the fullback options but Ole will never drop Wan-Bissaka.
