Good day guys, I have a first class in Computer Engineering and an IELTS score of 8.0. Please are there Australian schools that have generous masters scholarships for me? Your replies and recommendations will be highly appreciated. |

Good day everyone on this forum. Please, I have a question to ask. Wify has been working on migrating to Australia on PR with the entire family: myself and our two children. She did very well in IELTS, her skill assessment came out very good. The assessment was done by CPA australia. Now, her profession which is accounting is not in the required skill list for nomination. We are currently considering migrating on students visa. But, the estimated cost of about #13m is too high for me. Even if I am able to raise this amount, are there chances of getting a PR over there while in student visa? Please I need your candid advice. The ultimate aim is to get a PR. |

legionnaire: Australian schools are expensive and thus scholarship are rarely given to msc students. Although some of them offer discounts off school fess ........Macquarie gives 10000AUD of your payment and waives IELTS test . Phd students are mostly they ones who get fully founded scholarship ...... 90% of they rest gives discount. 2 Likes |

Dereformer: Are you sure of what you are saying, that accounting is not on they list. Student visa does not equate PR,.......it only serves as part to PR. Firstly u need to study a course on they PR list for at least 2years after that you can now apply for PR |

Dereformer: While you wait for answers, I advise you check the sponsorship list from time to time. My occupation was not on the state sponsorship list since 2018 , so I didn't even bother doing the skill assessment. It came back on some states lists and I didn't even know on time, now I am about to start skills assessment. Who knows if it will still be there by the time my assessment is out. Best of luck Edited, also check if accounting technician is on the list or any other related skill, if yes, she can do another assessment for the skill and use it to continue. |

Otumbalamba: Yes, we are using the students visa as a means to an ends: PR. But my major worry is, if I raise #13m and all of us jet out of this country on her student visa, will I be able to get work to support the family? From my computation, the #13m will be able to pay her first semester fees about, #4m; pay for accommodation for six months about #2.4m; feeding for about six months, pay for Visa application, air ticket and other logistics. Alternatively, can I send my wife and my two children, while I stay in back to hustle more and possibly join them later. Please I need advice from experienced persons here. My major aim of wanting to leave this country is to give my children the best of education. Please, I need your candid advice. 1 Like |

Dereformer: If u l move along with them you can work with your dependent visa to support they family. Or possibly, if you have a reliable means of income here, you can stay behind and hustle more ........you can join them later through invitation visa. |

Dgeneral23: Please when did you apply? |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Zaddii(m): 11:11pm On Feb 08, 2020 |
Dgeneral23:your boss should get an affidavit of fact addressing the differences with the both address and the delay to update it which is affecting you. Please when did you apply for your visa and what school and when is your start date ? |

Dgeneral23:not a guarantee, I’m just giving an opinion but I believe an affidavit of fact or Notary public from your boss can go a long way to assist you with the natural justice |

Was it stated in the letter what you are required to do, cos I've seen some NJL where the case officer would request for certain things to clarify the discrepancies. But either ways you should supply relevant information/docs to clarify the discrepancies and also make a detailed response letter. The earlier the better, all the best Dgeneral23: |

Hello house Please I need people’s opinion , Most of these agents that I contact for my AL1 school always refuse to process my application because of my 2 USA refusal and 3 Canada refusal. They said I have a bad immigration history . Please what do you guys suggest I can do next ?? |

fculek: They must be good agents to refuse money when they think a case is bad cos Naija agents will collect the money whether bad or good. Waiting for ppl to answer your question |

Dereformer: For me, how can she concentrate and read her books with the kids? Convert your salary to Aud and know if it is good enough. For me, I feel you all should travel and sort it out there. That is what works for UK. I am new in Aussie thread so I don't have experience. You can also check a thread - Nigerians living in Aussie, how do you survive? I believe landed Nigerians will be able to give you better advice. 1 Like |

Don’t take that risk of “I’ll join them later with invitation”. I would say you all should apply together. Yes, as a dependent, you can work unlimited time without restriction to support the family. It would be too much a burden on your wife studying, working and taking care of kids all alone. Believe me it might wear her down. I repeat, please and please don’t throw away the chance by applying together. She would greatly need your support. Dereformer: |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Softkey(m): 4:13pm On Feb 09, 2020 |
It’s not their fault and you can’t really blame them, they’re also trying to protect their visa processing success rate. Though immigration history matters but you can’t let that weigh you down. My answer is yes you can be granted a visa. I was denied US visa 5 times but I got my Australia visa at a try even though it took 6months to got the grant. fculek: |

Is your long term goal PR? If yes, with your 8.0 IELTS I would advice you explore the PR route. legionnaire: |
