Please can I present only my sponsors (cousin with the same surname) statement of account like 5 million naira? I don't intend to present my own statement since there is no fund in my account now. I will also attach my lands and house documents as evidence too. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by JustMellow: 2:27pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
Simplymeeko: Hello Simplymeeko, You stand a better chance using close family/parent sponsorship, but using a family friend is also possible with lots of convincing and evident facts. All the best. |

Onweke: Hello Onweke, The fund is insufficient, look for a more reliable sponsor. If you have a work experience or still working, its best advised to include one. You should try to get at least your LE in it. All the best. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 2:31pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
sneagolben:A lot of people have done it and gotten it. As long as you are a legal resident of that country (studying or working) you are legible to apply from there(not minding where the SOA is coming from). All you need do is show hometie (there or in Nigeria) and also explain how you have been of good character and kept the laws during your stay in the said country (tell the vo if you can do that in Dubai, you can also do same in Canada). If possible get a police report from UAE(since you have been there for the past 6 months and live there). 1 Like |

Simplymeeko:How much of that 20mil is the person giving you for your tuition fee and living expenses? That will determine if it will fly or not |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 2:36pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
Onweke:The 5 million will be for what and what? Explain to us what you intend to cover with that amount. Is the sponsor giving you the whole 5 million or what is the plan? N.B: You can't pay your tuition and living expenses by just showing your lands/properties |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Onweke: 2:45pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
mcobex: I have already paid my school fees last year december just for student visa/permit application. |

JustMellow:Sincerely appreciate your advise. The said person has already paid $1000 cad tuition deposit required by the school. Please what other areas should we work on so as to convince the VO when it’s time. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Simplymeeko: 3:03pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
mcobex:Thanks a lot for your contribution The person paid $1000Cad as part tuition required by the school from his account, to prove commitment. I really don’t understand the living expense part. Please what steps should be taken so as to convince the VO when the time comes. Thanks again. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Nobody: 3:12pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
I am still learning but with my little knowledge ....living expenses part is about 10kCAD ,so if the person can transfer that into your account in full and you also print your statement and submit to the VO it’s also a good step Simplymeeko: |
