isthatso: You of course sound like the slowpoke for making silly claims without facts and knowledge, you are sitting here blabbing about Lagos Ibadan expressway and blaming Fashola, but clueless that other people like Saraki and the opposition slashed the budget and sabotaged the project. All you do is lie and spew incorrect narratives. 2 Likes |

NGpatriot: My friend , I hope you know you can shut me uop by just listing fasholas's accomplishments as a minister for 5 years. Every time i ask you to mention his acomplishments and each time you still have no shame still showing yourself with any list instead throwing insults. Ode! You are such a defender and yet you cant name any. Let me explain something to you about governance. You achievements are based on what you conceived started or or what you completed. You are either the brain behind something, you started it or you completed. Nobody remembers the man who did just a bit in the middle. For instance Awo conceived OAU, but he wasnt the one who started or finished it. What did fashola conceive start or and what did he complete? this matter is not hard. leave insults for motor park and deal in facts. Amaechi completed Abuja Kaduna, Completed Itakpe Warri, Completed Lagos -ibadan Dredged River Niger Completed A few federal airports I have deliberately not mentioned the ones in conception stages, about to take off or ongoing because in Nigeria until a project has reached a deliverable stage it is not a project. BTW how far with Fashola's metroline? what happenned to all the money, Mr i dont sign cheques? I want you to know that Awo and everything you hear about the man and his accomplishments happennned in only 5 years!!! Amaechi has delivered in 5 years, it took him only 2 years to lay lagos ibadan tracks and that was even an overun. Golden boy, talk talk Super minister Fashola has been a minister for 5 years please list his accomplishments. thats all i ask!!! what did he start so someone else can finish, what did he conceive and lay the plans for, what did he complete I am not a fan of Ambode but go to Epe and see what he did there in 4 years. Ordinary lekki express that Fashol executed every day they are making corrections, ozumba cannot rain, pothole will appear. Eko o ni baje my arse!!! speaking English up and down the whole place "i dont sign cheques" yeye man! |

isthatso: Lagos -Ibadan expressway was not 50% as at May 2015, it was barely 10% completed. Where did you pull the 50% completion from. Don't argue with me, because my office was along the expressway, and i commute every fortnight from Ibadan to Lagos, and vice-versa. There are several housing projects completed within states. Fashola faced lots of pushback regarding the big works projects, because he tried prioritising projects based on geographical regions rather than states, and the National assembly in their typical foolishness wanted focus on states for projects that there were not even designed yet. Nigeria also witnessed terrible recession from 2016- part of 2018 that affected funds disbursement to budgeted projects. Don't turn situation on its head. I can bet there are lots of small wins made by Fashola in the power sector also. |

chinchum:maybe my figure is random but the difference between that road in 2015 and today is not much. The work that was done pre 2015 is more than what has been done since |
Re: Fashola Inspects 2nd Niger Bridge Project, Asaba Section (Photos) by Nobody: 5:29pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
chinchum: you are free to list them. If people find it hard to list your achievements, it's probably because you dont have any. if you have to look for small wins, then ithat too is a sign your underperformed. You can give reasons, or excuses but underperformance is underperformance. Bottom line is there is nothing to show...There is no legacy, there is nothing that if he were to leave today he will be remmembered by!! This like it or not is a FACT!! If you talk a good talk then you must walk a good walk. You are only as good as your last achievements, ask Arsene Wenger or Mike Tyson. Even if you were once worth the hype, if you cannot bring that level of performance to today's task, you are past it as the very best. |

isthatso:Very incorrect. Up until i left my former work place late 2017. The most work done was in the year 2017. I don't know the current situation i must confess. But i was working along that expressway from 2012-2017. The rate of change in late 2016 to mid 2017 was massive. As at late 2017 the completion stage was like 50%. 2015, couldn't have been anything more than 10% completion factoring work done by Julius Berger and RCC. |

chinchum:I beg to differ! bottom line is Fashola who is always pontificating and telling others to think outside the box has no deliverables to show. I said it in 2015 in 2015 that the myth of fashola will be broken at the federal level and so it is proving. There are innovative ways to get funding for a road. After all where did Amaechi get money for his rail projects. But when you are more intrerested in "other benefits", sometimes you mind does not think clearly...i'll just leave it at that. Amaechi is a focused man, if one door closes he opens another, thats why he is delivering left right and center. What happenned to Fashola's 4th mainland, Metroline, lekki express? why are they all failures? if you know you know!! |

isthatso: God bless you. I see no much difference between fashola and Jonathan. The both had the highest resources of any previous government but make so much noise for mediocre achievements. |

isthatso:While this thread is more on the 2nd Niger Bridge, i follow the news to know that Major parts of the power sector has been privatised. However, i still see projects constructed and some commissioned in the power sector, He also developed a road map for the power sector. i know of the power projects across the Federal Universities in Nigeria to ensure they are self sufficient, some have been completed. I know of the Kaduna power plant, Gurara power projects have been completed. ,Zungeru dam projects, Mambilla power projects that are at different stages of completion, I know his effort to ensure that fixed charges are removed on Prepaid meters e.t.c Some projects will take time . He is a good planner, that i am certain of. The power ministry is no longer under his watch, but i hope the new Minister improves what he met on ground. |

valarmorghulis: I guess i deserve to be called an olodo. I can see there is a lot of work in progress all over the country. I guess Nigeria does not end in the SW where I am because as far as i was concerned i couldnt see anything he is doing. The only Federal road that affects my life Is lagos ibadan and the thing is a mess and Electricity under his reign was a mess. But having visited the FMW twitter page I will concede and eat humble pie, and acknowledge that he is actually working. but he can always do better!! |

isthatso:I don't know what axe you have to grind with Fashola as a person, You have failed to tell me how you arrived at the 50% completion before he came on board as works minister. Fashola has shown lots of innovative ways to get funding for road projects as some roads . PPP arrangement with Dangote for tax waiver to construct Federal roads is one example, a federal executive order was signed to that effect.. I think you have failed to realise this because you have your personal issues with him. |

valarmorghulis: I have also been to the FMW website and clearly there are a lot of ongoing Federal projects, 7000km in totalthe problem i guess is that I think only 1 is completed. and very few are at an advanced stage of completion nonetheless, I am pleasantly surprised list of ongoing https://worksandhousing.gov.ng/management/uploads_images/1562351340.pdf |
Re: Fashola Inspects 2nd Niger Bridge Project, Asaba Section (Photos) by Nobody: 6:33pm On Feb 12, 2020 |
chinchum: I never liked him as governor, overhyped, i beleive a lot of leakages happenned and a lot of the moneies that were meant for Public projects went into private hands, many of the project vastly inflated and of poor quality. For that I never bought into the hype. However, having visted the FMW webpage and twitter site and educated myself I think I can say without a shadow of doubt he is doing a good job at least as regards roads. It may not seem that way because he has not commisioned anything but there are clearly a lot of ongoing road projects. over 7000km, thats nothing to sniff at, if they get completed. BTW completion of Lagos-ibadan is approx 45% even today according to the official figures from FMW |

wirinet: I am not the person on your quote, @ least you admit he paid something. Like I said Government is a continuum, in the end it's neither Jonathan nor Buhari paying for the bridge, no be their papa money. you and I would directly and indirectly bear the cost through taxation and tolls. |

isthatso:What about jebba makwa Road, oga forget about ur hatred for fashola and visit ministry of works twitter page(media) you'll see a lot of works going on, how many railway is amechi constructing? Fashola is constructing more than 100 roads across Nigeria with limited funds compared to amechi that already have d money he needed. Just say u hate fashola |
