don't say that bro, the SD 675 is a budget chipset unlike the sd710. Qualcomm knew why they had to underclock the GPU so not to supersede the boundaries of the midrange chips ie the sd710 hence not to affect the sales, no doubt the SD 675 has a powerful cpu for good framerate but it went short on the GPU department which made it a budget chipset and Qualcomm being who they re don't joke with chipset GPU.

I know it's a budget chipset sir. I totally understand.

I also know that the GPU on the SD 710 is actually better than the one on the SD675. Confirmed. But in terms of actual performance, the SD675 is up there with those SD 700 to SD 720 chipset range and so for some who has been using a lower chipset like SD660 or its sibling 665 for example, it's a huge leap forward. That was what I meant.

SD665 conserves power better than the SD675 but when it comes to CPU performance, the benchmark tests all show that they are in the same category at all.

If you have noticed, most reviewers tend to compare 710 to 675 instead of 665.

Oga buy your phone without stress and enjoy it.

We had this same argument last year when the RN8 was released last year. The position was that if you had an RN7 then upgrading to RN8 was not necessary.

Some individuals misconstrued it to mean that RN8 was not good. We get serious comprehension problem in this country sha.

RN8 is an improvement over the RN7.

The SD665 on the RN8 is actually underclocked but it's built on a smaller manufacturing process (11nm to 14nm) and hence conserves battery better than the SD660 on the older RN7 whilst delivering almost the same level of performance with a better GPU.

The cameras on the RN8 are much more improved and two extras have been added to make it four. As for camera, RN8 beat RN7 flat.

As for battery, RN8 will utilize battery better than the power hungry RN7.

Note: I don't argue based on sentiments or because I use a certain device. Everyone on this thread knows I use a RN7. If I didn't have one, then I would definitely rush to get the RN8.

That's the truth, at least subjectively.
Thanks

That is because MIUI 11 have brought in most android 10 features.

When it comes to Xiaomi MIUI upgrade is even more important than Android upgrade

The sd 675 is built with kryo 460 and is base on A76 & A55 arm cortex while the sd 710 is built with kryo 360 and is base on A75 and A55 arm cortex.. The 665 rocks the normal 260 kryo based on A73 & A53 arm cortex.. Meanwhile, in terms of comparison the sd 675 competes with sd 800 series due to its kryo 460 but this battle exist only in the cpu aspect but in gpu 800 series win.. Sd 710 score 175,478 in antu test while sd 675 score 180,754; in the cpu aspect the sd 675 beat both sd 710 and 712 hands down but they slightly outperform the sd 675 in gpu aspect.. In my own considered opinion, sd 675 is massively and generally better than sd 665

If xiaomi will use sd 675 on rn9 and keep the price within the price range of rn8 then that will be very lovely.. Note: this same chip(sd 675) has been used on samsung a70 and vivo v17 pro that are currently sold at 110k above.. But if xiaomi achieve this on rn9 then the result must wow other smartphone compaines

After launching tempered glass screen protector for the Redmi Note 8 Pro back in December, the company has launched Mi Protective Glass for the Redmi Note 8 smartphone. Xiaomi says that the Mi Protective Glass is made in association with Corning.

Comprising of multiple layers that include an oleophobic coating, Xiaomi claims a 5X protection improvement over local soda lime tempered glass, says the company. It offers high visibility for full clarity and color and is rated with 9H hardness.

Since the sensor placement and display size on older Redmi Note 7 series is same as Redmi Note 8, it should work on those phones too. Hope we can expect similar tempered glass for more Redmi phones in the future.

The Mi Protective Glass for the Redmi Note 8 is available for purchase online on Mi.com for a price of Rs. 399

sure the SD 665 is no match to the SD 675 power, we're not disputing that bro. My emphasis is on the SD 675 and 710, according to the antutu benchmark u quoted, the margin between the SD 710 and the 675 is not much and it's negligible but for what's worth when it comes to better choice and performance the sd 710 takes the cake with more developers support, the sd710 is like a miniature flagship chipset.

SD675 will consume more power because it uses Kryo460 (A76) CPU cores which are very powerful as compared to the SD665 which uses the less powerful Kryo260 (A73) cores.

The more powerful the core, the more drain on the battery. Since they both built on the same manufacturing process, the SD675 will pack more punch than the less powerful SD665.

Where do you live abeg, I owe you a bottle of beer and peppersoup!!!

When people are with clear facts, and we all learn.

The so-called A70 that their fans won't let us hear word uses the same chipset and sells it for over 100k. Xiaomi will make a phone with that chipset and sell it around 60/70k.

I wonder where all these ram progression in mobile is running to, 12gb? Next flagship will come with 24gb and we will call innovation. To me I think this ram and storage increment is what making all these phones expensive, if u doubt check the price difference with the lesser variants and see, they should just give us 4/6gb and 128gb base variant we no go complain. 12gb ram untop Device wey no go sabi run full fledged call of duty modern warfare, does that one follow?
