Now away from politics, Dear nairalanders I need a clarification on an issue. I was trying to apply for a loan via some of this instant loan mobile app. It got to a stage they were asking for ATM card detail including my Pin. At this stage I had to discontinue with the application because of the likely security risk. Is this a normal process? Is it safe to disclose your pin. Kindly share your experience. Thanks.

You better thank God Almighty. You just dodged a bullet.
They would have wiped the little amount have

They should not over rejoice ooo. Their candidate did not meet the geographical spread as ordered by the supreme court. Until INEC makes a pronouncement based on the directive of the court.

He did...
APC has no votes, so in the eyes of the law PDP won the 8 LGAs.

Did PDP candidate meet the requirements? Make una go read the judgement wella o.
Which requirements? The votes cast for APC are deemed to be non-existent, therefore, that makes the PDP candidate the winner

No candidate to be sworn in yet becos from the election results, Pdp candidate did not met the required spread and therefore not qualified to be sworn in. So PDP should not jubilation yet.

My wife's close friend husband who is related to Lyon is scheduled to travel back to Yenagoa on Monday next week. She told my wife the husband tendered his resignation on the 3rd of Feb, from a job that pays him at least £2600.00 take home every month.

I honestly don't know what the poor guy is going to do now. It's a pity.

I am not sure that the Pdp candidate met the required spread. Otherwise no candidate will be sworn in tomorrow. So ,they shouldn’t jubilate yet.

It's looking very much like Justice Tanko of APC did his own magic in Imo State which is the state of origin of Justice Mary Odili of PDP who now took her revenge in Bayelsa. grin

Just this morning, David Lyon was rehearsing against tomorrow inauguration.
As Yoruba elders will say, don't count your chicken before they are hatched cry

Not only that, both Mary and Ihedioha are from Mbaise. Her father was a very respected lawyer (Chief Nzenwa) and a close friend of my late father, helping him to win a case against late Senator Isadore Obasi in 1992. As in, without him the land was lost.

You need more than one bank account. The main account and the one you only transfer money to. You'll use the ATM card linked to the latter for such transactions.

The only reason your pin can be require is if they want to charge the card you register for repayment. Many of them will charge a token amount ranging from N10-100 in that case your pin will be required to authorize the transaction but your pin is not stored. Except you have reason to suspect the app/site I don't think there is a cause for alarm. So if the pin is required to charge the card for a particular Amount, it's just a one time request and it's purely to authorize such amount from your account at that Moment and to validate your card that you are not supplying an expired card for your loan repayment. Most of the loan app do such even carbon that someone earlier refer

For the children in the house....

This is the beginning of the case

Lower courts earlier decision

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja had, on November 12 2019, disqualified the APC governor-elect on the grounds that his deputy provided false information to INEC.

Mr Ekwo held that there was no connection between the name on the candidate’s school-leaving certificate, first degree (BA), master’s degree and the affidavits he swore.

However, the court of appeal set aside the decision of the trial court and affirmed the election of the APC candidates.

The three-member panel of the appellate court led by Justice Stephen Adah said that the PDP did not prove their case against the APC candidates.

The court held that Mr Degi-Eremienyo submitted an affidavit which showed evidence of his change of name from Adeyi-Eremienyo to Degi-Eremienyo.

“I agree with the appellant that the owner of the school leaving certificate and the GCE certificate are one and the same and I, therefore, set aside the judgment of the court below,” Mr Adah said.

Dissatisfied with the decision of the court of appeal, Mr Diri and his party filed an appeal at the apex court.

In its judgment on Thursday, the apex court set aside the judgment of the court of appeal and affirmed the decision which nullified Mr Degi-Eremienyo’s candidacy.
