If it is for regular EE - yes you can use work experience after your Bachelor's and before your MSc as work experience. Assuming it is in an appropriate NOC and within the last ten years.

Be careful if it is for PNP - provinces may have different requirements.

Jbelieve:
Hi if someone has experience before MSC and has no experience after MSC can the 1 or 2 years prior to msc be used to count as foreign experience Please urgent. Thanks

What if someone submitted only ECA and its past 4months already?

kingkhalil:

You should. This can still be remedied by raising a CSE. Do so asap

Hello everyone.

Please, for those who have completed WES assessment;
1. Did WES inform you that they have requested verification from your institution?
2. Did WES update you that your school has responded to their verification request?
3. How many weeks did it take from response to verification from your school to completion of ECA?

Thank you very much.

......And the wait ended is over!!!

Hi everyone, sorry for reporting late, got PPR 12th February dated 11th 3.04am

Family of 4
PA - self
Pry NOC 0122 (No HR letter in CIC format, used regular embassy letter + supervisor and coworker letter)
Sec NOC 6235 (HR letter in CIC format)
IELTS LRSW - 8/8.5/8/7
CRS 440/438
ITA Jan 30,2019
Air Feb 27, 2019
MEP April 2019

Called CIC monthly till calls couldn't go from outside anymore.

Contacted MP Ralph in August and file was picked about a week later. Analyst messed up the whole thing, reduced eligibility points and CRS points claiming conflicts Treasury Bills POF not acknowledged.

Raised several gcms which was not delivered till December 2019. Upon receipt and realization of what analyst wrote, crafted an LOE on Christmas Eve to Ottawa -uploaded on webform and sent to Ottawa email. Also sent email to immigration minister. Got acknowledged in January 2020. Documents attached were, explanation for perceived conflicts, treasury Bills was liquidated to savings account and account statement printed dating back to 2018 showing origin of funds since they have been there more than a year before ITA

February 4, 2020 got remedicals, did remedicals 2 days later, MEP passed 2 days later, PPR came 11th February 2020.

Almost a year.......

Details later

KsMom:
Good Morning All,

So i've known about this Canadian thing since 2017 just after i got married.
a family friend shared the process with us and the CRS score being picked then Highest 443, lowest 413
i told my hubby to lets dive in and do the process but he said no.
I moved on
in 2018 i told him about it again, he said no, CRS score was gradually increasing 450 - 455. towards the end of 2018, i just heard a close family member had been given ITA and was gathering money for POF. i raised it to hubby again and he said no
in 2019, they got PPR and left.
i told hubby again and he said no.
late 2019, i just realised that i dont even need hubby to write IELTS to have the required points to be picked.... i almost cried.
Something i should have done and moved on
Good thing is , this 2020.... i aint waiting for him to make up his mind completely.... grin
WES has started, IELTS in Feb.... PS. i have Masters and younger than 30

wish me luck grin

A journey of a thousand miles, they say begins with a single step. I've been reading/following this thread for about a year now but I finally decided to take the first step in December 2019.
I wrote the IELTS LRW test on 01/02/2020 with the Speaking test two days earlier. Previewed the results today and found LRWS 8.5 7 7.5 7.5.
I thought my reading should've been better, really don't know what went wrong. Still thinking about a remark. I did with MOD IDP.

Tips? I don't have any tips apart from the ones already shared here but be wary of too many tips as too many cooks, they say spoil the broth

I consulted @blissnenye to help with my writing and towards the end of the tutorials she said she expects nothing less than a 7.5 from me in writing. That really boosted my confidence. Thank you for your help.
Next stop is ECA. WES says today is the estimated completion date so I hope they come through.

Hello house,

Been waiting for ITA since October when scores went crazy. OINP came through yesterday and I'm going for it . The thing is my documents have been ready since last year and are addressed to CIC. Will these suffice or do I have to get the documents again addressed to Ontario specifically?

Also, the plan is to augment POF with 25% of my pension which I believe is acceptable for EE, PNP i'm not so sure. Anyone knows if OINP accepts pension as POF?

Hello house,

Good morning to all. Been a silent reader for some days now. I must confess that I joined Nairaland because of this thread few days ago.

I want to seek an advice from the more experienced please. Myself and my wife have done our ECA already and we have the reports with us. My IELTS results is L8 R6 S7.5 W8. Hers is L8 R9 S8 W7. We both have age on our side. I have about 6 years experience related to my NOC, she has about 2years 9 months related to her NOC while about 6 months not directly related. If I am the PA, our CRS is 422 due to the reading score in IELTS, if she is the PA, the CRS is 461 due to experience not up to 3 years in her NOC. We do not intend to go through the route of PNP. We want to explore EE squarely.

My questions?
1. Can we add the other 6 months experience as part of the 3 years required for her or it has to be strictly related to her NOC?

2. Do we advise that I re do my IELTS and aim for an higher score so that if I am the PA with a better results, our CRS will be around 480 thereabouts?

3. Can I open EP with her as the PA for now then decide to delete it later if we decide to use me as the new PA after my IELTS?

Thank you for your awaited responses.

There's no issues with the documents addressed to CIC and dated last year.
the pension statement is fine too.. just ensure you get a detailed letter from your PFA. They would generally contact you if any document you submitted is not clear. Submit on time too, as processing may take up to four months..
