i've been on guest mode still reading the pro and anti yobo comments. i wasn't going to contribute on the matter further but frankly speaking i'm worried with this desperation to sell this appointment of yobo's to the nigerian public. solace chukwu's article has encapsulated all my thoughts on the matter. It will be well with the Super Eagles 3 Likes |

Lille manager Christophe Galtier says Victor Osimhen is fit for his side’s home clash against Olympic Marseille on Sunday, reports Completesports.com. Osimhen sustained an injury in Lille’s 2-0 away win at Angers SCO last Friday. The 21-year-old, who scored Les Dogues’ first goal of the game was replaced by Nico Gaitan 10 minutes from time following the setback. “Victor Osimhen trains normally. He had a simple cramp against Angers,”Galtier declared at a news conference on Friday. The Nigerian has scored 12 goals and registered four assists in 23 league appearances for Lille this season. A win for Lille in the game will boost their chances of playing in Europe next season. Galtier’ s men currently occupy fourth position in the table with 40 points from 24 games. 1 Like |

Emmanuel Dennis would have been featuring in the French Ligue 1 for either Nice or Rennes this season, but opted to stay put at Club Brugge because he liked the new coach at the Belgian team. Last season, Dennis had announced he wanted to quit Belgium and he could have joined either Nice or Rennes, who submitted bids for him. However, he eventually opted out a move to France after he declared he like new coach Philippe Clement. Club Brugge were then happy to give him a new contract in September that will run till 2022. But the Super Eagles forward, 22, now looks set to finally be on his way out of Belgium in the summer. He has been linked with various clubs – from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga to several Premier League clubs like Newcastle and Sheffield United. Club Brugge hope they can now cash on this transfer after valuing him between 25 and 30 million Euros. |

Hmm Nwankwo Kanu has shared his thoughts on the new Nike kits for Nigeria's national teams. On February 5, the sports manufacturer revealed a dazzling design to replace the popular ‘Naija’ outfit which enjoyed record-breaking sales before the 2018 World Cup. According to Nike, the designs are inspired by local fabric and instilled with a traditional aesthetic. “In 2018, Naija changed the game with a collection for the ages that set a new standard for how Nike approaches federation design,” read a Nike statement. “In 2020, Nigeria picks up right where they left off with a home kit that fuses the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe with modern football design.” Some fans believe the latest designs are worthy successors, while others are unimpressed. When asked by Goal about it, the former Super Eagles skipper questioned the Nigeria Football Federation for not keeping ex-internationals abreast of the choices of kits. “I do like the jersey but in the future when they are doing things like this, ex-internationals should be carried along in order to feel our own opinion,” Kanu told Goal. “If not, we will accept whatever is thrown at us even if we don’t like it.” Gernot Rohr’s men are set to wear the home design during the qualifying campaigns for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup. https://www.goal.com/en/news/ex-internationals-should-be-carried-along-kanu-questions-nff/2zzh4t2u5ahl14ooehdermu16 |

Naija Talents Radar Meanwhile at RB Salzburg U-19, I have come to be notified of two Nigerian lads with dual/triple Nationalities. They also feature for FC Liefering in the Austrian 2nd tier. FC Liefering is a feeder team for RB Salzburg. 1. Bryan Ikemefuna Okoh (16years old): A young teen centre back already standing at 1.87m (Damn!!) Born May 16, 2003 in Houston, Texas. Eligible for Switzerland (who he currently represents at youth level), USA and ofcos Nigeria. 2. Chukwubuike Adamu (18 years old): A Forward standing at 1.82m. Born June 6, 2001 in Kano, Nigeria. Eligible for Austria (whom he currently reps) and Nigeria. Has 8 goals and 1 assist in 9 games for FC Liefering in the Austrian 2nd tier. 1st pic is Okoh Bryan. 2nd pic is Chuks Adamu. They both featured for RB Salzburg Youth in the UEFA youth league where they just recently beat FC Porto Youth team to advance to the next stage of the UEFA Youth league. Karim Adeyemi also played that game and is well known here already. 2 Likes 1 Share
