I like the way you drop your facts. But I need citations for personal research. Thank you.
I hope I don't get banned by spambot grin

1) This photographer dude dared to compare a DSLR with a smartphone camera. Like who does that? grin

2) A straightforward opinion on the pros and cons of the Pixel 4 camera. As with nearly every review, the absence of the ultrawide camera is a top con.

3) Mi Note 10 vs Pixel 4. 108MP vs 12MP. Is camera hardware all there is to picture quality?

5) A detailed attempt at explaining computational photography. While I think some parts were not so accurate, I like this because of the new terms I learnt. You can use this as a guide for a deeper dive, as it is still somewhat of a personal opinion.

A 1080p display is sharper.
That doesn't mean you can't use 720p videos on it tho. It might only appear slightly less sharp.
okay but can I download a 1080p video resolution and then watch it on 720p display

S20 devices at some point few months from now tongue
Bro, the truth is that the Samsung phone at that price is the S10 (not plus) and can be gotten for a little over 220k. Then more for the plus. These are phones released around this time last year to show you how expensive these flagships are compared to what they offer. The Samsung phone that you can get for 200k is basically the s10e (although it can be seen for 190k sha). But compare those phones with the mi 10. Even the person saying he'll rather get an iPhone than a xiaomi at that price, like seriously? Can you see a new 2017 iPhone X for 200k? unless second hand. The iPhone 11 self that's just a rehash of iPhone Xr starts at 260k.

Another phone that's at 200k is the OnePlus 7t pro. But compare the specs with the mi 10. The mi 10 is the best at that price currently. I thought we've moved pass this brand name of a thing undecided

Doesn't matter if we buy it or not.

What's the point of a tech thread if people can't discuss without exhibiting Apple level loyalty.
It's just a mobile phone bro!

I don't understand why you people get scared when Sammy and the rest gets mentioned.
It's not like people won't buy what they can afford at the end of the discussions. My man.. It's Sammy and the rest that get scared whenever xiaomi launch new device.. And even when xiaomi is mentioned sef na instant malaria dey whole other brand users

I bet tomorrow they would still say it was manufactured by Samsung.

This phone is so tempting sha. Too bad the heart and the wallet do not always agree.

all hail google search. grin

Anyway the point is, photography is moving towards a direction where there is more reliance on software and less on hardware (optical) parts. While most manufacturers use it to an extent to compensate for the limitations of their camera hardware, no one holds a candle to Google. The future of photography lies in programming.

It's why I was amused when you guys talked about the pixel 4 using the same camera hardware as 3 and a Xiaomi phone and concluding the iPhone smokes it as a result. Pixel 4 that can be used in place of a DSLR as an astrophotography camera. Or is it the feature that recognizes familiar faces in real time (even in a crowd) and tries to focus on them? You even went on to mention image processing!

Go read about how google implements computational photography in their pixel phones.

I like how you recognise that other manufacturers are also using software to enhance mobile photography. And iPhone is not left out. The iPhone 11 series especially. Like I said earlier, one area pixel triumphed over iPhone was night mode. Now, i can categorically tell you, the iPhone 11 series takes better night mode pictures than the pixel 4. Hardware + software = incredible shots. Photography wise, iPhone has up their game in the 11 series. They are giving Pixel a run for their money

Boss I understand nah but my question is which other phone do you want to buy for 200k? Unless it's about preference and not bang for buck/value for money then I can understand. Maybe we shouldn't judge Kng Gezy when he says A10 is better than mi 9t because it's his "preference" grin

as long as you don't insist the iPhone smokes the Pixel, we can agree to disagree.

It's why I asked earlier if you meant the camera hardware. I only continued the argument because you said 'in everything'. Pixel 4 doesn't have the best hardware there is (doesn't even have ultra wide camera, and the battery sucks for the base Pixel 4), but when it comes to camera software, no one comes close to Google.

The iPhone camera software has improved drastically with the 11 Pro, but difference is still like Google Assistant vs Siri. Google is the Machine Learning king. Imagine what they would do with a far better sensor.

In the end, there is plenty space under the sky to accommodate all our different opinions. So, this is me signing out on that argument.
