I have been thinking the same. The explanation so far has been general immigration visa but as we know immigration visa types are not the same (employment, IR, F etc) . I learn that even in countries under ban family visas for spouse and parents of US citizens are still considered for approval. Will they still enjoy that privilege in Nigeria too?

Given the reason for the ban (document control), it will be both immoral and unjustified to ban those that are already "documentarily qualified" since they have scaled the controls. Banning on those grounds alone can be challenged in court because applicants are being retroactively punished. Will they then be required to go submit their qualifying documents all over again? Since the consular officer has "no discretion" to issue or deny a family immigration visa, he must state the reason for denial if any, by the hard fact such as "visa ban". And as the lawyer says, this can be challenged.
Be hopeful if you have scaled the "documentarily qualified " stage. Legal help can be an option.

I wish one can have a direct answer on this issue from nvc. But it's so difficult to speak to them. Almost mission impossible.

After the interview they were issued a white paper. We created a profile for them on the appointment booking website but due to the fact that one persons medical result was not ready since Dec 2019 til February 2020 when it was finally out and negative.
Next day we received an email and SMS to come pick up stamped passports.

It looks like issue date was the date of interview even though they did not receive the visa until more than 2 months after . That is very bad of the US embassy.

Naaaa, QLife had to call for a medical retake and they said it will take 10 weeks. I guess the embassy was in copy

The message should in the email used in registering

I get the notification on my registered email address and the login on ceac site and i see nothing new. no new message.everything still shows accepted

You wont see anything on the notification panel of the ceac but an alert that you have a message

There is no message or alert.This isn't the first time cos i receive messages when there is a problem .absolutely no new message here

This happened to me earlier this week. If you say there is no message check the status beside you and your petitioners name and check if the status as changed from submitted to accepted.
If this is the case in some days time you should get an email which will state status complete.

Or go to your msg icon click on it if it indicates you have a msg. Sometimes it takes forever for the msg to come up. So you might have to refresh severally before you see the msg.

Yes I experienced that. Mentioned ds260, opened the message on ceac, nothing.since I have gotten accepted status,I ignored

I got the mail of the interview on the 10 of Feb, then my interview date is 4th of march

Why don't you wait till 21st or 22nd to see whether this immigration ban will be implemented.
If it is then call nvc and explain the situation and their answer will guide you on the next step.

Or better still if you have an immigration lawyer handling your application. He will be of help and know what to do.

Maybe you should visit passport office and talk to their officials present your case and let them tell you the way forward.
Pls talk to the uniformed men. Not those on the roadside.
