It might be difficult to tell for you, take it to another engineer to help you check. You didn't mention the phone and the model
larrycool190:
My phone screen was bad and I'd changed the TouchPal twice, it usually goes bad latest 1 or 2 months after. So this time again I had similar challenge and I decided to change the complete screen. I took it to a shop in computer village. The phone Engineer recommended that changing the touchpad will be just fine, but I insisted I want to change the screen completely.
He agreed to do the job, which he did. But from he's reaction, I have a strong feeling he may not have done what I requested.
Please my question is, how do I differentiate a complete screen from a TouchPal when replaced, what are the physical features that can differentiate this?
Thank you.

Hi guys. Want to say a big thank you to all the guys who showed concern and responded to my previous post.
Repairguru finally sent the money this morning and we are good now.

I'd like to chip in that ALL genuine business thrives with integrity. Without it the business have a very short life span. Let's all try to be sincere regardless of the situation.

I also want to appeal to all the guys that quoted my previous 2 posts to please modify/delete their posts so that when a Google search is run it won't show any of these posts, since it can still be accessed via a simple Google search and Nairaland backs up data to their server steadily.

Also when everyone does this I will also delete this one.

Thanks again guys

Franky826:
Hi guys, so some things have been happening. Decided to keep it a private affair but looks like some people have no value for integrity at all.

I contacted Repairguru (O8O24O9934) for my brand new MI A2 phone that won't boot properly. He claimed he could get it to work perfectly and after much negotiation with him on Whatsapp. We agreed at the price of 6k for his service. We met and I gave him 5k advance fee to balance 1k on completion. that was on 6/1/2020. Well after trying Repairguru (O8O24O9934) couldn't fix it. So we rescheduled for collection and balance on 17/1/2020 because I wasn't in same town. He showed up with the phone and we agreed he'd take 1.5k for his Minor expenses (cable he bought and TF) while he balance me 3.5k. well he said he didn't have any money on him, that he spent the money but he'll balance me up next day 18/1/2020 and took my account details. Since then it's been one lie to another. He will say he sent it but bank reversed it, then moved to he is having issues with his app, then he can't go to the bank to make physical deposit, then moved to he had physical cash and that he sent it already and even wrote his name in the teller notebook over the counter. This one was the latest since yesterday. (14/2/2020). A whole lot of lies he's been feeding me. I've been patient with him, got tired and warned him I'll bring this matter here If he dosent pay. Even gave him 7 days. Guys day 7 came and he asked for 5 days extension which I obliged. Today is the 15th day since then and I'm yet to receive my money.

Repairguru I know you'll read this and I hope you do something about it. Pay me so I can delete this piece because I'm not happy bringing it here either.

@Repairguru, kindly respond to this before it escalate beyond you can handle oooo
A stitch in time saves nine, don't tarnish the image of other genuine guys here

Hello,
My s9+ screen cracked at the edge in front but it's still fully functional, no ink, no black spots & it works perfectly like before.
How do I determine however if it's the front glass or screen that I would change to get rid of the cracks ?

I really appreciate your concern paddy. Am seeing everything that is going on and right from time I know chuckvoice doesn't mean well cos is always intimidated by my response to customers.
