Yes it was not subject to review but because they know they erred in that judgment hence accepted to review it and Mark my words. The former judgment will be reversed and it will go down the history as the first of it's kind but one downside of this is that it gonna set a negative precident to Nigeria law.
Trust me,its all formalities,an academic exercise.they will review nothing

It would have been confirmed that the SE/SS are deliberately being shut out of APC.

GEJ and Madam Patience's visits to Aso rock some days back may have been to sway the Supreme court to favour David Lyon.

Alas, it wasn't to be. Buhari cannot imagine himself and GEJ in the same political platform - directly or indirectly... grin

SE and SS must learn to play opposition for once in their political lives.

We Yorubas did it for ages and we didn't die.

Mary Odili shouldn't be in the panel of Judges pleaseeeeeee.

and where did you get this from? he won't be in this mess if there was a change of name affidavit. he was winning election because no one has challenged him in court for forgery
When the issue came up at the High Court, the APC Deputy Governorship candidate showed proof that he had sworn affidavits in respect of the name changes.

See below a screenshot of a news story published last year when the high court ruled.

The question is, are sworn affidavits no longer valid?

[quote author=Eteka1 post=86669812]David Lyon should also go back and tell the supreme court that they erred.

He should tell them that his running mate did not submit forged documents but that all those names are his for which he has sworn affidavit.[]

I bet you are not aware that those certificates also have different birthdates in their attendant resume?

sworn affidavit that this are his names or a change of name affidavit?
If there is no change of name affidavit, how was he able to use his waec certificate to secure admission into the university?
I think this guy bought to certificates and when he found out his mistakes, he got a sworn affidavit.

Secondly, what is the date on the affidavit? If the affidavit are recent, how did he get admitted into a school without valid proof That he changed his names?

I think this man bought the certificates from those who bear similar names

Ihedioha is dead and buried.

The evidence the court asked him and INEC for, he is yet to produce it. He's jumping from court to court.

Which evidence?

Also explain the relationship between that evidence and the fact that total votes is 200k votes higher than total cast vote.

The supreme court judgement on Imo is a clear judicial miscarriage of justice.Imagine the valid votes massively exceeded the number of accredited voters.

It is actually more than that, the SC actually aided and abetted fraud and rigging.

And I think it is quite intentional going by how the SC bent itself out of shape in this case. They carefully avoided mentioning numbers in their judgment, in a case that is all about numbers!
Also notice they said nothing about meeting “the required constitutional geographical spread of votes”! Because they know the numbers make no sense - the man gave himself 2 times the registered number of voters in some places!
Then when INEC gave him certificate the next day, they carefully made sure NOT to release final tally of votes (because they know they’d be laughed at!)

How hard is it to obtain INEC documents, write any results u wish, keep the carbon copies, and destroy the rest??
Or is it that it is so hard to obtain INEC documents??
The ONLY way to checkmate that is to accept INEC’s word, UNDER OATH, that they never issued those documents!
I’m not at all into politics, but even I know the Imo state case is different from the rest.

How can someone be changing names like its going out if fashion?

while we were looking for admission back then, my friend was told to provide a change of name affidavit before continuing with his clearance just because he used two different middle names in his waec certificate and jamb.

but somehow this man who used different names "not just middle name" in every certificate did not have a change of name affidavit.
the idiot bought those certificates from different people with similar names but when he started seeing trouble ahead, he quickly ran to court to get an affidavit saying he own all the names.

whoever gave him that affidavit should be jail for issuing it without evidence
