So many Americans and Nigerian-Trump supporters are very ignorant of what socialism is.

What Bernie Sanders is asking for is a mixed economy- a capitalist economy mixed with socialist policies when it comes to education and healthcare.

What irks me is that Americans who need access to healthcare are voting for a pure capitalist healthcare that makes you pay thousands of dollars for a simple ambulance trip to the hospital. A socialized/nationalized healthcare will see you get healthcare for free or almost free.

All other developed countries (eg EU countries, Canada etc) have socialized healthcare.

In fact, socialized healthcare saves both lives and money

stanech:

Do u know how much it will cost to provide free college to Americans? even if u stop providing millitary aids still wont be enough
if you stop providing military aid and prioritize education and health over the military, there would even be so much spare you would resume giving military aid again. Look, I am not making this up, your government is an oligarchy, where the super rich fund candidates from both parties who promote their interests after election not the interest of the masses they are supposed to represent, if not tell me which is in the specific interests of the masses, free healthcare and education or a massive military? Even if you claim the modern threat of terrorism is the excuse for the bloated military budget, which terrorist group currently has a conventional army to fight? Will the military be used against sleeper cells of terrorists? Worse still, is the massive campaign of misinformation and disinformation by the same set of oligarchs which poor idiots swallow hook, line and sinker against their own personal interests, insane arguments like government funded healthcare and free college education are communist ideas and against free market! In the 50's and 60's when the government and the workers unions were actually in charge and wealthy individuals and companies were paying 30% tax and above, America was at the height of its anti-soviet/communist cold war efforts, but since the idiot Reagan was bought by big business and started his trickle down economics, less and less jobs have been created locally especially in manufacturing, it is the services industry and IT that has held America afloat and now when a Bernie Sanders who has consistently shown himself to be pro-people, no mixed messaging, no so called moderate or centrist, the democratic party entrenched in its ways is the first to want to pull him down while the younger generation rallies around him aggressively while you Republicans especially the impoverished southern redneck welfare states who are going to be the biggest beneficiaries inaccurately tag him communist or more accurately socialist without caring to understand what socialism actually is seeing as you already practice some form of it. Isn't that stupidity?

It will be Bloomberg vs Trump. The Dem leadership will see to it.
The entire universe knows that Bennie is unelectable, as his ideological soulmate across the pond, Jeremy Corbyns was. That's why stocks rose when he won the early caucuses.
Investors' confidence rose that Trump is not going anywhere.

Bloomberg? A politician that has the charisma of a petrified mouse? Bloomberg has been far behind in the primaries. No way. Money does not always buy power.

Sanders is the man. See his performance in the primaries.

USA is not a pure capitalist nation. Remove welfare and other social benefit programs and you'll have a true capitalist nation.

Also Look at a future president. A girl even went naked in front of that stage. you can never be left wing enough for these people. Bernie is the most commie candidate and they'll still crash his stage in protest of other things.

The problem is, "the entire universe knew" that Trump was unelectable. As for Jeremy Corbyn, I think a major reason for his trouncing was the fact that he had such a wishy-washy position on Brexit, while his opponent had a clear and definite one and a roadmap to getting it done (Boris Johnson got every member of his party running for election to sign a pledge that they would support his Brexit deal). Brexit was THE issue in that election, and one party had a clear strategy that would appease the people who wanted Brexit as well as those who didn't but just wanted the issue finished one way or the other, whereas the other's proposal would not satisfy those opposed to Brexit, nor those who just wanted it finished one way or the other.

It's true Bloomberg has been far behind in the primaries... but he hasn't even tried in the primaries they've had so far. I don't think he was even on the ballot in some of them. Given that his strategy has been to ignore the early states and try to make up for it afterwards (the early states offer only a small percentage of delegates, winning them is more for good press than anything else), him being "far behind" in the states he wasn't trying to win doesn't mean much.

We'll only be able to start seeing if his strategy pays off on March 3, when there are 14 primaries at once, including California and Texas, which offer a huge number of delegates.

AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s wall claim is beyond ‘redemption’

https://www.breitbart.com/news/ap-fact-check-trumps-wall-claim-is-beyond-redemption/

On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, President Donald Trump told a rally that people who are in the United States illegally are paying for his Mexico border wall. It was the latest iteration of his effort to convince the public that Mexico is covering the cost, just as he promised throughout his 2016 campaign and since.

Evidence to the contrary came three days later. The Pentagon announced it is taking $3.8 billion approved by Congress for fighter aircraft, ships and other military programs and using the money to pay for the wall. The Defense Department took a similar step last year and may yet again. U.S. taxpayers are paying for the wall, not Mexico, as has been the case from the start.

Trump spread a variety of distortions at the rally, and still more in other venues during a week that came to be dominated by machinations involving the Justice Department. The release of his proposed budget prompted Democrats to wrongly accuse him of undermining Medicare.

THE WALL

TRUMP: “You do know who’s paying for the wall, don’t you? Redemption from illegal aliens that are coming. The redemption money is paying for the wall.” — New Hampshire rally Monday.

THE FACTS: To date, the money is coming from the U.S. treasury, meaning today’s taxpayers and the future ones who will inherit the federal debt. To the extent any people who came into the U.S. illegally are kicking in for the wall, it’s because they’re working and paying taxes like other workers.

“Redemption” payments don’t exist; Trump apparently meant to cite remittances. That refers to money that immigrants in the U.S. send to their countries of origin, often to family members. Trump has at various times talked about taxing or blocking such money but that has not been done.

Mexico flatly refused at the outset to pay for the wall. That has given rise to creative formulations by the president about how Mexico in some way is contributing. For example, he has projected that his updated trade agreement with Mexico and Canada will stimulate enough extra growth over the years to cover the cost. Even if that happens, which analysts widely doubt, the wall will have cost the U.S. money that it could have used for something else. It’s not a payment from Mexico.

Trump freed up $3.6 billion for the wall last year by diverting money from military construction projects as well as $2.5 billion from approved counter-drug spending.

Former Justice employees urge Barr to resign: More than 1,100 signed an online petition.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/02/16/former-justice-employees-urge-barr-resign-115597

More than 1,100 former Justice Department employees have signed an online petition pressing Attorney General William Barr to resign and commending four prosecutors who withdrew from the Roger Stone case.

Last week, all four prosecutors quit the Stone case after what they perceived as interference from the White House. The prosecutors had recommended a seven- to nine-year prison sentence after Stone — President Donald Trump’s longtime friend — was convicted of lying to Congress, obstructing investigations and witness tampering.

The petition's signatories include Justice Department employees dating to the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations, though most are of more recent vintage. Among them are three who served as assistant attorney general: Sanford Litvack, Jimmy Gurule and Laurie Robinson. The total is 1,143, though Protect Democracy said it would continue to add names.

Stocks rose after Sanders' New Hampshire win, because he is perceived an easy win to Trump.
It is Trump that the markets want, not a socialist bringing a sledgehammer to the economy.
If Bloomberg rises, stocks will also rise because it will be well with the economy whoever wins overall, as both Bloomberg and Trump are Business friendly capitalists.

Leftist debate on what signs should be on the toilet door, how we should care more about cows than Americans, how we should give LGBTQ more roles in politics because they are LGBTQ and not because they have proven to be able to do the job, how you should care more about Hispanics coming into US illegally, care more about Soleimani than Americans, debating on how to collect 80% tax from the rich cos it’s a crime to be rich and you want jobs and the economy to boom with these misplaced priorities.

See how you are repeating right wing talking points. Are you a parrot?

The left care about access to healthcare. Do you know how expensive an inhaler or insulin pen is? Far more expensive in the USA than any other developed country. There is even a video of British people laughing at the ridiculous cost of healthcare in America

The left care about racism. It is legal to deport illegal immigrants. However, the illegal immigrants are human beings...their children should not be caged. In the UK, families are not separated. They are deported together. Furthermore on racism, Trump is silent on police brutality, especially on minorities. Trump even went to give a medal of freedom to a racist called Rush Limbaugh

The left cares about education. Right wing billionaires making money from charter high school while leaving public schools to deteriorate. Betsy Devos has a court Judgement against her for not forgiving student debts of students who were deceived by their universities. Trump has no plan to forgive student debt or to make higher education accessible to lowver income students.

Sanders is the man. See his performance in the primaries.
Forget his charisma problem, he can keep his stony face while VP Clinton does the smiling.
Not just about money, though money matters greatly too.
If you remove his globalist and climate doom sentiments, he is actually a Republican by pragmatic, commonsense approaches.
Bloomberg is somebody I believe many Trump loathing Republicans may feel okay voting for in addition to Dems.
But I wish he misses the nomination, then I will consider it done for Trump, and happily invite you to a pre-election Trump re-election party.
