Let learn from those who invested in 1980s, likes of my dad, who their dividend are still coming, with good number of share earned through bonus, whom has covered more than times 3 of their initial capital, whom their dividend now serve as pension. If we take our investment initiative toward theirs, many will be able to make money in this NSE.

When u count d number of company's that has gone out from NSE just from 2007 to date. U will have to think twice before buying t above idea!!
Long term strategy as propounded by Warren Buffett protects against company's liquidation. It is done with a shock absorber. You are supposed to be in the stock as long as tje fundamentals are sound. So, while in a stock's open position, you constantly check the fundamentals to ensure that tje fundamentals have not changed. It moment it changes, you divorce the marriage.

Your head is too correct Sir.
CashDiMkpa:

Many of the companies that went out of business did'nt fold up for economic reasons. They folded up because they were run by crooks. Some of these are however still around.

Many of the business with better structures and ownership also experienced downturns due to combination of economy and crooked leadership e.g. Unilever, Cadbury, NB etc. but they are still around and doing business.

LESSON: If you want to invest for the long term, its still a viable strategy but select your companies carefully and always track company news as well as management news.

I dont think jijo needs the fundamental os a stock. You only need a stock that is trending with high bids volume, and then jump out when it reverses. As a swing trader, you already know you cant win all the time, but your wins would be more. I'm beginning to admire the system. I was used to it when i was doing forex trading. But the problem wit forex trading is, when you want to quickly get out, the system will not allow you to, TELLING YOU MARKET IS BUSY, UNTIL YOU LOSE.
That is why i stopped trading forex, and contending that it is a fraud.

UCap advanced in price with 48k or thereabout last week, guess whosoever is still interested in buying should wait for pull back.
That's just my opinion, I'm not Mr. Market. It may move further or pull-back.

True but risky.I will advice anyone playing it for Jijo to review the unaudited result twice before gambling.

I like to play Jijo on stocks with good results and good dividend history so if mistakenly trapped,I will have something to hold my hand on.

Jijo is dangerous to your blood pressure ... remember your old age sir

Don't blame any, when ur BP starts reading high

The scenario of Onifa Prophecy was different and irrelevant. Sorry to say this, he is my mentor, but he cant be right all the time. His prophesy was inapplicable because there was no bear in sight when he advised exit from the market, as stocks still appreciated about 20% after his alarm bell.
Even right now, i believe those who stayed put in the market has won,,,,, because, there are no much changes. May my readily armed attackers be a little tolerant of my amateur opinion, which is personal to me.

A vehicle hardly stops suddenly when an opposing force is impacted on it.

Knowing when the vehicle is decelerating is very key and you have ample time to disembark.

But if you wish to wait to see the vehicle crash and stop first, you may not be able to open the door. grin grin

I'm talking about taking your profits. Though, as your price is appreciating, you can be raising your stop-lose prices. Yes, it is manageable. You're right, you need to be very efficient.

I stick to my point. And you cant be right always. I may not be patient enough or have much time for stock trading which i am trying to correct now, I am not a newbie in stocks trading. You may have advanced than i due to stated reasons, but i doubt whether you started stock trading earlier than i. Although, it took me many years to discover this thread, many guys have known me here for a long period.

You are good in the trade, no doubt, and i call you my mentor. But when you make a mistake, admit it.

The bull was at its infancy when you asked us to exit and i said it then. And later, people still made 20 to 30% profit.
I still made 20% prpfit from my Flourmills after you asked us tp exit it. Granted, you are great in stocks strategies, just as some people are also great in other sectors, but be humble enough to admit, whenever you make a mistake. That is a good ingredient of greatness. I always admire you my friend no need for immature display of pride.

That's act of wickedness, for selfish purpose, then tell me if new comers will not see NSE as gambling. Let new comers see stock market as an investment arena, where payment of dividend is priority, with that ideology they will save and make huge amount of money in future through participating in NSEM, than seeing it first from nairabet ideology.

If I may ask, what is the actually aim and objectives of one owning share from the listed companies?

So if Peter says that market could fall more, it has become wickedness?

Why don't you skip the post and move on.

Even when I was in stocks, I still posted news about worldwide recessions, contagion which could affect our market and at the same time waiting for the bull.

If you think like this, are you sure you can trade in other climes where bad/good news and trading go side by side.

The investment awareness in Nigeria is still very very low. It has more to do with lax regulations and the selfish nature of the managers of quoted companies. Oga Loco, has advised us to get a minimum of N5m to play the market. I am looking for my own N4.8mm to complete my seed money.

Did you force anyone to exit. As far as I am concerned "ADVICE IS MEANT TO BE TAKEN OR REJECTED" and that is why it is called advice and not instruction. I beg no vex.

Yours was on information basis, am OK with that as far as there is good reason behind that.

It's not bad to tell people to bail out and wait for certain time to increase their holding, when one foresee danger ahead, like during the last election that most foreign investors left, which we foresaw them that can have great effect on ASI, which brought about bonanza period where those who bailed out later got times two of their initial holding.

But when some are busy depending on confusing people every now and then, they will ask people to buy today and bring bad news and ask the same people to sell, only for you to hear them again within short period of time asking the same people to buy.

That will tell you that they are purely Monkey hunting.

Oga mi sir, pls dont stop posting oo. I benefited a lot from ur advice and my portfolio had a positive story to tell about it. I really wish I had known you long time, probably I would have retired by now. Imagine I had known you when u were busy accumulating fidelity and exited at over 220% gain. I was forced to mail you after seeing what happened to my portfolio in Jan 2018 when you asked us to exit.
Thanks boss.
