Felicity0001: Chief, you mean gross. Cos net in my parlance means deductions after bolt commission and fuel used. I don't go for pick ups above 2.5- 3km. Even at that range, rider's destination is wat will make me decide. Cos if distance is too long, riders often are impatient ( I don't blame them, the ehsiling apps promise quick pick ups not minding the peculiar terrain of Lagos and its unpredictable traffic), they will cancel n order again. I HV been a victim countless no of times, once I can't get to you in say 5-7 mins, I cancel strait. Was @ CIPM road, Ikeja, got a request. Called rider, she was @ Berger , destination: Ikeja I had to let the trip slide. Cos the main thrust of the hustle is to make profit. That kind of trip is a sure loss. 5 Likes |

In Europe the only additional license required to drive with Uber apart from your driver license is a Taxi license, which I think is equivalent to the Lasdri permit. The operational License the LASG is asking for is a total fraud, and should be rejected, since other commercial bus drivers are not required to get one. The law should be clear and concise and apply generally across board. Only a registered taxi company with at least more than 10 cars in its fleet should be required to get an operational license, and this must have been passed into law, so far the government is not stating any particular section of the law on this matter. Obey traffic light No drop off and pick up along the road Be respectful to traffic authorities when stopped Lastly know your rights Also Uber drivers should pay the correct tax to the government and obey all traffic rules and laws. 6 Likes 1 Share |

kodred:I've used Corolla, EOD V6 and now Civic I can say from experience Honda cars are more efficient when compare to some Toyota cars in terms of fuel comsuption. Though I learnt yaris is another Toyota brand with good fuel economy. |

It's high time we do something about this bolt thieves ripping us drivers off for absolutely no reason, these guys are nothing but thieves. How can a trip from ikoyi to surulere be 1,000 naira No be slavery be that, there was a day I took someone somewhere the trip ended at 3,000 bolt gave a discount of 300 the person paid me 2600 instead of 2700, I left a fare review on that trip stating how much the person paid. Guess what bolt reviewed the trip and changed it to 2900. I couldn't laugh that day. This shit dont make any sense to me anymore, how does one work hard on the road every other day only for these thieves to keep fooling us. Problem is we Nigerians are not United, we can almost never unite for a good course. Walai talai if we unite these e hailing apps will do the right thing, but what do I know? I'm just a common driver with a degree he cant use to get a reasonable job. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Parlee: Only people that cud change their ways is a Union ( collection of a lot of drivers who agree to a common cause, unfortunately, that is a tall order. Cos of some reasons pple WL giv. a. I'm on rentals, I CNT afford to strike. b). I'm on HP. , I'm almost paying up, I CNT join your strike. c). Nothing concern me. (d). I just lost my job , I can't join. the list of genuine reasons are endless. Furthermore, Bolt is adding more drivers DAILY on the platform to cater for those that would go voluntarily or be deactivated by the system. Bolt will keep increasing the pool of drivers cos they only take a cut of wat is in the POOL. Also, its beyond ur control as an individual, pray n hop you get more favourable trips any day you set out. Finally, think of the end game. A skill , a biz , that you would eventually switch to. That's wat I think about everyday, "wat can I do to get out of this RAT RACE". 12 Likes |

I wrote about bolt new form of robbery. Nobody listened. I want you to do an experiment guys. Few seconds before your trip ends, use the calculate price option. Then compare the price to what comes out when you end the trip! You will shout. Please try this now guys. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Felicity0001: Thanks bro. I've got. Regarding the cooperative, my mother in law back home (osun) is the one running it for us. But this is how is operates; when you join, you can only be entitled to borrow after 6months and you can borrow x2 of your savings and pay 15 naira monthly interest on every 1k (1.5% monthly interest) till you complete repayment of the loan. I don't know if that is how it is operated everywhere. I will inquire from a colleague here in Lagos who is also into this corporative thing. |

Operational license still on hold till the issue is resolved btw uber/bolt and LASG. But all drivers/partners are adviced to go get their hackney permit and LASDRI card as soon as possible according to the VIO boss on 99.3fm this morning. Note: you can maintain hackney permit on your blue plate number 2 Likes |

shollywendy1: I think bolt/uber need to be a lil vocal on this issue. Is it too hard for them to tell drivers to get Lasdri and hackney as part of new requirements? Or maybe they are still dragging the hackney stuff with the govt? BTW, which institutions issue Lasdri and hackney please? 1 Like |

northbird: You are right, Union! Unfortunately, we youth are now the most difficult set of people when it comes to "coming together" to achieve something in Nigerian Some of the listed excuses are not genuine compared to what we can achieve in coming together. We are too knowledgeable that we have trillions of difference in opinion over little things. God will help us. On the other hand, I think something is still not right between Uber and LasGvt or some head of VIO vampires about the permits. Because I trust Uber, they would have logged you out until you get it. But at the same time, everybody wants to play safe and avoid story yhat touch. The vampires won eventually. |

Reason i said get a competent driver first b4 going further to get the car with that both parties can rub minds. When I was in search for a car I was even ready to make a down payment of about 200k which was to add up for the car purchase but las las negotiation didn't go through. I'm ok with what I've for the now though. So it's all depends baba. |
