And how has tax cuts helped the poor? You keep feeding the rich and the poor will still get poorer.

Go back to american history. There was a time taxes were as high as 60% if not more. Billionaires didn't suddenly run away.

There is profit and there is super profit. Increasing taxes for the 1% wont lead to armageddon. USA wont collapse. Higher taxes for the 1 percent should be met with subsidies for small to medium business owners.

As for China, it is a different case. I agree with you that Trump is wrong with the trade war.

Taxing the rich will never help the poor, it will only make them poorer. That is my point in summary.

Not the rich but the super rich. The one percent. Those are the real villains.
Wether super rich or super mega rich, or super duper rich, it will only have an adverse effect on the poor.

These people you call super rich are the ones that control America. If you poke them, they will poke the whole of America.

Who are the ones who create jobs? If you take away all the wealth of the job creators, will govt create these jobs or we should all go and line up to collect paychecks from govt when they take money from the employers of labor

How did these rich become rich? How did Bezos become rich? was it because the govt took Bill Gates money and handed it to Bezos?

You say USA wont collapse, How come all the Eastern bloc, Poland, Yugoslavia, Cuba Venezuela collapsed?

Federal judges' association calls emergency meeting after DOJ intervenes in case of Trump ally Roger Stone

https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/02/17/roger-stone-sentence-judges-worried-political-interference/4788155002/

WASHINGTON – A national association of federal judges has called an emergency meeting Tuesday to address growing concerns about the intervention of Justice Department officials and President Donald Trump in politically sensitive cases, the group’s president said Monday.

Philadelphia U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe, who heads the independent Federal Judges Association, said the group “could not wait” until its spring conference to weigh in on a deepening crisis that has enveloped the Justice Department and Attorney General William Barr.

“There are plenty of issues that we are concerned about,” Rufe told USA TODAY. “We’ll talk all of this through.”

Rufe, nominated to the bench by President George W. Bush, said the group of more than 1,000 federal jurists called for the meeting last week after Trump criticized prosecutors' initial sentencing recommendation for his friend Roger Stone and the Department of Justice overruled them.

...This shows how bad the situation at the DoJ has become...

Dumbass. Why dont you use Sweden, UK, Iceland and Canada as examples of socialist leaning countries?

Furthermore, small to medium scale employ a lot of people if you do not know. There are more people in the 99% than 1%.

Edit.

It is one thing to get super rich, it is another to avoid paying taxes because of lobbying, loopholes and corruption

So you prefer to be ruled by oligarchs? Is it a Democracy or oligarchy you want?

There has to be some sense of equality. The one percent should pay their fair share.

Mind you, I am not saying this as a poor man but as a business owner who pays taxes.

Taxing the rich theor fair share works in a developed country

The UK, Germany and other NATO members depend on the US because America has always put itself forward as the policeman of the world.

However, there is no evidence that shows that Western European countries cannot adequately defend themselves if the US reduces it financial/military contribution to NATO from 70% to, say, 45%.

Leftist are pathological liars, the person you are quoting probably has no job as it's common with the liberals who want free things. Check out the tax brackets below and it's even going to get better in Sept as another tax cut rolls in.

Only deranged people will look at any tax in America and say poor people pay more if not for the indoctrination by the MSM like CNN and others.

Before Trump if you make anything over $200,000 you will have to pay 39.8%, but now you can make more than that and will still not pay past 37% of your income, making people keep more of their money and move to middle class.

kokanepyramid:

Typical leftist propaganda, where is Trump taxing the middle or bottom class which you belong more. Even in Nigeria there are various Tax bracket depending on your earnings.

But how on earth is it fair to tax someone of more share of his income. I work you tax me 80% while I take home 20%.
Is it a crime to be rich now.

I don't know how many times we have to say it for real facts to penetrate the liberal skulls that Mexico actually paid and still paying for the wall as Trump said.

The NAFTA Trump killed and replaced with USMCA comes with 266,000 jobs among other things making it difficult for US jobs to move to Mexico. The billions of dollars used on illegal immigrants remain in the defence dept. Aids are suspended to central America countries that are not helping with the migrant problem. Mexico is stuck with and forced to host thousands of migrants. 40,000 Mexican soldiers are also serving as temporary walls for Trump while the actual one is being built down at the border. There's also a tax on money transfers to Mexico from the US being float around, though I doubt Trump will do that cos he likes low to no tax at all.

Mexico has more than paid for it, it's now their problem for the most part and they can't wait for the wall to complete.
TheShopKeeper:
AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s wall claim is beyond ‘redemption’

https://www.breitbart.com/news/ap-fact-check-trumps-wall-claim-is-beyond-redemption/

On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, President Donald Trump told a rally that people who are in the United States illegally are paying for his Mexico border wall. It was the latest iteration of his effort to convince the public that Mexico is covering the cost, just as he promised throughout his 2016 campaign and since.

Evidence to the contrary came three days later. The Pentagon announced it is taking $3.8 billion approved by Congress for fighter aircraft, ships and other military programs and using the money to pay for the wall. The Defense Department took a similar step last year and may yet again. U.S. taxpayers are paying for the wall, not Mexico, as has been the case from the start.

Trump spread a variety of distortions at the rally, and still more in other venues during a week that came to be dominated by machinations involving the Justice Department. The release of his proposed budget prompted Democrats to wrongly accuse him of undermining Medicare.

THE WALL

TRUMP: “You do know who’s paying for the wall, don’t you? Redemption from illegal aliens that are coming. The redemption money is paying for the wall.” — New Hampshire rally Monday.

THE FACTS: To date, the money is coming from the U.S. treasury, meaning today’s taxpayers and the future ones who will inherit the federal debt. To the extent any people who came into the U.S. illegally are kicking in for the wall, it’s because they’re working and paying taxes like other workers.

“Redemption” payments don’t exist; Trump apparently meant to cite remittances. That refers to money that immigrants in the U.S. send to their countries of origin, often to family members. Trump has at various times talked about taxing or blocking such money but that has not been done.

Mexico flatly refused at the outset to pay for the wall. That has given rise to creative formulations by the president about how Mexico in some way is contributing. For example, he has projected that his updated trade agreement with Mexico and Canada will stimulate enough extra growth over the years to cover the cost. Even if that happens, which analysts widely doubt, the wall will have cost the U.S. money that it could have used for something else. It’s not a payment from Mexico.

Trump freed up $3.6 billion for the wall last year by diverting money from military construction projects as well as $2.5 billion from approved counter-drug spending.

So why are the European countries not paying their own fair share of NATO security fees?

Do you have to tell responsible govt or individuals to pay their own share of a contribution they agreed and signed to? So its US that's making them not to meet their side of the deal

So if all occupants of your estate agree to pay a certain amount for the security of your estate, You can come later and say you are not paying what is expected because one Landlord is acting as the estate police?

Why don't they pull out of NATO rather than behave irresponsibly

if you are he’ll bent of taxing the rich and their businesses that high in your country it’s only normal for them to go do the business elsewhere with lower tax rates. This in the long term would lead to loss of jobs which would have more demerits that the merits of so called hike in tax.
Why do you think China was taking American jobs, why do you think the elites were subtly in favour of invasion of illegal immigrants that would transform to cheap labour.

I actually do not expect you to understand this logic afterall you are a leftist ur emotions think for you, it’s all about how you “feel”.
oh! I didn't see big business flocking of to Japan and Taiwan or Korea who were the Asian economic tigers or China's of the 50's and 60's, so let's see what has changed, lemme see.........taxes have dropped so the more you make the less you have to pay so why not make more by screwing the unions protected labor force at home and shipping the jobs overseas to Asian sweat shops who work for cheap with no union protection? Its really that simple, but as a republican logic has never been your strong suit has it? Even if I point out to you that MAGA trump has his branded hats, ties and paraphernalia manufactured in China it would skip through both ears of yours without imprinting on your brain

This is the problem with many Americans. They know nothing about other countries.

There are many countries that are far better than the usa and there is research to back it up.

For instance, the Human Development Index ranks countries on various indicators to determine the most developed countries in the world.

Here are the most developed countries in the world ranked-

1. Norway
2. Switzerland
3. Ireland
4. Germany
5. Hong Kong
6. Iceland
7. Australia
8. Sweden
9. Singapore
10. Netherlands

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Development_Index

As you can see, the usa does not make the top 10 developed countries in the world.

America where your child school can shot up by a mass murdering student with an assault rifle.

America where people cannot afford to go to hospital. People with jobs cannot afford health insurance and die.

America where people cannot drink water in some states because of lack of environmental laws tackling fracking.

America where police can beat your sense out of you with police brutality and get away with it because "they are afraid for their lives"

America where the public school system doesnt teach proper history and about other countries. America where the public school is dying.

America where the average citizen has to enter debt because the cost of going to university is too high.

America that has never had a female leader. America that women dont have reproductive rights. Contraceptives and abortion are difficult to access by the average woman.

All these problems are almost non existent in other developed countries, especially the top EU countries.

Only an inbred american ignoramus thinks that America is the greatest country in the world.

Let me leave you with a video of an American tv show telling you why America is not the greatest country in the world..

President Donald Trump announced pardons for several high-profile individuals in addition to commuting the sentence of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The White House announced that he had signed an executive order pardoning former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. and later Tuesday, Trump said he would pardon New York police commissioner Bernie Kerik.

During comments to reporters at Joint Base Andrews on Tuesday afternoon, Trump acknowledged that he relies on recommendations from those around him in deciding how to apply his pardon power.

Speaking of Kerik, who is a good friend of Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, the president said that Kerik "had many good recommendations from a lot of good people."

Kerik, a former New York police commissioner, was sentenced to 48 months in prison in 2010 after pleading guilty on multiple charges of tax fraud and lying to officials.

He served as Giuliani's body guard during Giuliani's 1993 mayoral campaign and was later appointed to serve as the New York City police commissioner in 2000. He was nominated by President George W. Bush in December 2004 to be the secretary of Homeland Security but withdrew his nomination due to potential tax violations.

Does this clown not know that the Constitution gives the president the power to grant pardons and commutations? So exercising his Constitution given powers makes Trump a King? I have said it before that most liberals are ignorant, low information voters, this is a prime example. Trump has not even pardoned up to one tenth of the number of people that were pardoned by Bill Clinton and Obama during their tenures and you're here ranting.
