KINGreignn:They went and put bumper with 300k on a 2011 car and now call it 2018 model. The thing always look annoying and abnormal when I see it on the road. This is the disadvantages of allowing Benzedes people upgrading to Lexus. They should stick with that bullshit on their C300's not on this precious car. 3 Likes |

conductor259: Looks very ugly and awkward. Some will even put it on an 07 Camry . I have never understood the sense behind these useless, cosmetic upgrades. If you so desire an upgraded version of your car, sell the current one and buy it. If you can't afford It, keep saving up till you can. 4 Likes |

rationalmind:I swear. When they put Lexus-like bumper on 07 Camry, they start calling the car 012 Camry. Me, I'm looking at actual 012 Camry with no semblance with what they call 012 Camry and I'll be like "what the feck is wrong with these people?" 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Club-Lexus by KINGreignn: 2:39pm On Feb 19, 2020 |
Alonu:Since you have Gazzuzz, you can pay him handsomely to inspect it for you prior to purchase. That car isn't what someone would pay for without having assurance of its state. If everything checks out, go for it. Footnote: you suppose pay consultancy fee for this advice o, chai! |

Re: Club-Lexus by KINGreignn: 10:55am On Feb 20, 2020 |
Atom57: You need your steering wheel and yaw rate calibration done. They're undone. To do that, get your car on a flat surface, tyre pointing straight ahead, and ignition off get a paper clip and undo the fold alternatively, get a thin single copper wire of 1.5mm of no more than 6inch, with your ignition off and insert one end of the wire or clip into #4 and the other end into #12 of your OBD II port, turn on your ignition till all your cluster lights comes on. You will notice some lights starts to blink. ABS, VSC, Tyre pressure sensor lights, traction control etc will blink. You allow the clip/wire there for 10-15 seconds, then turn off the ignition, and remove the paper clip/wire. Start the car as you would normally start, and drive off ahead without turning your steering for 10-25m your VSC lights shouldn't come on again. Below is a picture of how to calibrate yaw rate sensor using paper clip/wire on the OBD II port. DISCLAIMER : while I have done this countless times and it's been successful 99.9% of the times, I shall NOT be held liable for any malfunctions or damage to your car in the course of attempting this. 2 Likes

Nice thread.. I am about to get my first ever car and I've fallen in love with lexus this past year. With a budget of 2mil what's the best lexus car to go for? I am actually a noob and don't know much about cars. I need your help bosses in the house |
Re: Club-Lexus by conductor259: 2:51pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
falansa:SUV or sedan (salon car)? As far as I know Lexus doesn't have bad car. It's not a brand where they'll tell you to avoid this model because the leg will pull on the highway, avoid this one, the engine is soft like baloon, this one catches fire when parked (like some European shitbox models), avoid this one it has SAMS or electrical or baloon shock issues. All Lexus cars are good but if you're not very financially willing in terms of maintainance, avoid the executive models like Lexus Ls, Gs, GX (Lexus Prado version) for a starter. Start with any RX (SUV crossover) or ES (sedan). Make sure it's not seriously accidented abroad or converted from left to right. Also check underneath by yourself for rust. |
Re: Club-Lexus by falansa: 2:57pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
conductor259:Sedan sir |
Re: Club-Lexus by conductor259: 3:03pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
falansa:Na Lexus ES na. If you fancy something smaller you can go for the IS but keep in mind that IS ground clearance is very low so you will be having issues with your bumper if you always travel bad road. |
Re: Club-Lexus by falansa: 3:10pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
conductor259: I actually think I prefer es... What's the best model to go for within the range of 2-2.5mil that is worth the value and also good for Nigeria road |
Re: Club-Lexus by conductor259: 3:25pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
falansa:With that amount you'll tokunbo get Es330 with change. Es350 you'll get that minimum of 2.8 for tokunbo. You can still buy a Nigerian fairly used Es350 for lower if you don't mind. 1 Like |

Pls ive been using Mobil 1 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic for over 8 months now and I am considering switching to Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance, so I would really love to know if it will have any negative effect on my Lexus GS300. Thanks |
Re: Club-Lexus by radautoworks: 2:52pm On Feb 22, 2020 |
boycasio: Why are you trying to switch |
Re: Club-Lexus by dru23(m): 3:01pm On Feb 22, 2020 |
boycasio: There is no negative effect in switching, but at the sametime there is no need to switch .. The only reason I would is to enjoy a longer oil change and if my car is high mileage.. High miles is 75k miles and up... Also price difference matters, some sellers do sell Extended performance same price as the Mobil 1 Advanced oil ... So why not go for the extended performance than and get better protection |
Re: Club-Lexus by boycasio(m): 5:48pm On Feb 22, 2020 |
dru23: My miles is 85k so that’s actually the reason I’m considering switching to extended performance |
Re: Club-Lexus by boycasio(m): 5:49pm On Feb 22, 2020 |
radautoworks: Cos I’m over 85k miles on my Lexus |
Re: Club-Lexus by dru23(m): 6:01pm On Feb 22, 2020 |
boycasio: That is fine to switch.. All my cars either on Uber or personal cars are high miles.. So for added protection better to use high mileage oil... High mileage oil will help protect the seals..
|
Re: Club-Lexus by radautoworks: 12:20am On Feb 23, 2020 |
boycasio: That's not what extended means. Extended means go longer between oil changes. "High mileage" is what you're talking about and you don't need that till 150-200k miles |

Pls i need a quick advice. I have a max of 2.4m Should i get a Naija used Lexus es350 or a tokunbo es330. PS. I like es330 but the shape new and even when it gets old I dont really like. |
Re: Club-Lexus by conductor259: 2:46pm On Feb 23, 2020 |
incogni2o:Used ES350 if you ask me. Buy one that has not exceeded one year. It is the same as tokunbo. Afterall tokunbo na still person drive am, sometimes under worse conditions than the person who drove it as Nigerian used. 4 Likes |

Good morning house, I'm new on this thread... I drive a 2000 Lexus RX300. Recently my remote control key started misbehaving, it won't respond until I get to the driver's door and some cases I press the remote more than 30 times before it respond. If I get angry and open the door manually, the alarm starts blasting and it's embarrassing. Please what may be the problem; the receiver or the remote? Personally I have resolved to buy another remote control key from online. Hope I can able to program it myself when it's delivered to me... PS: Screenshot of the key online shop is attached...

I got Rx 350 of recent and noticed the steering shakes a little when I match brake. Also, it occasionally makes sound as if the break pad is bad and I just changed it. What could be the problem |
