If your ticket is a one way ticket from Lagos and you're on tourist visa, no airline will allow you boarding to U.S, I'm very sorry but this lie will not work oooo, do you know what they called APIS? APIS is Advanced Passenger Information System used by CBP to identify travelers to U.S and to fish out likely drug mule, terrorist etc.
3 months is U.S is a no no.... eat your L and look for another country.

I take it that what OP is implying is that the agent booked a roundtrip ticket but the return date was wrong -- and he was fighting to fix it with the agent.

@OP sorry this happened to you; unfortunately your situation (true or otherwise) is the sort of trigger for visa denials. Granted the V.O cut you off before you could explain, it seems they had decided to deny you because you overstayed. Take that as a lesson, spend your money at other countries -- and come back when your circumstance has improved.

Whatever happened if he had money for to his 3 months stay in US, he had money to buy his own return ticket and to be back on time, not overstaying.

6 months stamp is for emergency cases, maybe the tourist got in an accident and he/she was in the hospital (provide your hospital documents), maybe he was in jail (provide documents) or something really very serious making the travel at time IMPOSSIBLE.

Great guy, that's my man.

To be honest, NL is the last place I normally would want to discuss politics, and this thread shouldn't even be the place at all. The challenge is that I can't just stand and be mute where the product Buhari is being promoted unnecessarily or worst still being exonerated!

This paragraph was supposed to be for me to say "I'm sorry" to you, it's not flowing, because the difference we have has to do with Buhari, the man who promised heaven but delivered hell, the one who finally run Nigeria and Nigerians aground with emptiness, primordial sentiment, ethnic chauvinism, nepotism, etc. See what securing visa has become of us as a nation worldwide these past few years, it was never and has never been this bad! Insecurity at its peak cry.... Now, I'm getting overly emotional.

See desperation and hunger everywhere my brother. Do you know we will all have a feel of its effect? Seye, my big Odogwu Thermocool generator was stolen and sold off for peanut by a former banker and one miscreant in my hood, if you see the CCTV footage and the suffer the guys went through to get it over the fence, you'd weep. Couldn't help letting them go because of his young family. I visited 5 different states in the US on this my last trip, one thing was common amongst our people there, the pressure from home has increased astronomically, a lot have resorted to move from avoiding calls from Naija to blocking friends and relatives on the various communication platforms just to keep their sanity. It's that bad!

"At this stage I will desist from any political chit chat on this forum and focus solely on why this forum was created, to assist and provide an enabling environment for applicant interested in applying for U.S Non-Immigrant visa with the intention of returning to Nigeria after getting the visa and visiting U.S." I just quoted you now, that sums it for me. I'm following you to do same sir, you are a dear friend I met on here and cherish much, I'm really sorry if I got on your wrong side, pretty sorry, sincere apologies. MAY NIGERIA BE GREAT!

you have odogwu thermocool generator (that nobody has) and visited 20 states ( you must be the first) this little dude just like to feel on his weak ego

Good day all, i plan to travel to the U.S with my wife in December for 2weeks vacation. I am self employed and my wife is an engineer working with an engineering firm and we intend staying at a cousin's place during the vacation. Please what are our chances of getting a visa, when is the most appropriate time to apply and is there any document my cousin can provide that can increase our chances? Thank you
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by anabor: 8:09pm On Feb 20, 2020
Ok, so when do i apply? Also note i am the one footing the travel expenses.
rhazac82:

Why not let your wife alone apply first.

No arguments. Kee yourself! New York, Georgia, California, Nevada and Texas in this order may not cost you more than $350-400 in flight tickets (the most expensive being $122) if you know what you are doing and doing them ahead. Generator is part of the Nigeria "constitution". So, what's in these? Park well!

Hello Carnal. What i mean by appropriate is supposing i get an interview date for May for example and i am issued a 2months visa, meanwhile my travel date is December. My wife and i have only been to Dubai together and we have no kids yet. I have an inherited property in Nigeria.

Not sure they will issue a b1/b2 visa, why not apply for F2 visa?

Yes they will issue a B1/B2 visa. My wife is in school in the US too and I renewed my B1/B2 visa in Nov 2019 as I live and work in Nigeria. However, the person can still apply for an F2 though.

As usual the SHORT CUT nature of Nigerian will manifest by any means... just listen to yourself? none of those things happened and you're trying to put idea into his head, we need to do better.

Visa Transcript
Interview time 6.45 am.
There were 3 VO's in windows 1, 4 and 6.

VO: Good morning ma'am
ME: Good morning ma'am
VO: Where are you going in the US
ME: New Jersey
VO: How long
ME: 10 days
VO: Purpose of traveling
ME: To shop for my business in Nigeria. I sell Fashion items which I get from the UK, Turkey and Dubai and I travel every 6-8 weeks
VO: I see you didn't use your previous US Visa. Why is that?
ME: I got pregnant shortly after and I stayed back to birth and nurture my baby. (This was the real reason. I didn't do any traveling at all within the 2 years I had my visa)
VO:Are you married
ME: No but I'm engaged and have a son
VO: Do you have any other income?
ME: No
VO: sorry you do not qualify at this time.

I actually make about 2-3m monthly but I pay myself 350,000 as salary which is what I put in the application. Maybe I shouldn't have put 350k in the form

I just came back from the UK last night. Didn't even have enough sleep before rushing out for the interview. I planned to travel to the UK next and travel to the US from there to shop for my business.

Can I reapply from the UK?
Contrary to whatever advice you must have been given on nairaland forum. I want you to go through this link it's the website of the USA embassy in the UK and this page specifically answers your question. I hope it's of use to you.

When on the page click on. I am a legal resident in the United kingdom . Why dont I qualify for a visa.

After going through the link, the website expressly stated that
''The consular officer who evaluated your application is accredited in the United Kingdom and is only able to assess your ties to the United Kingdom.

It is not possible for consular officers here to be experts about all other countries, or to understand any social or economic ties you may have to another country. Nevertheless, even though your application has been refused in the United Kingdom, if you are here temporarily you may be able to qualify for a visa if you applied at home.

Consular officers in your home country are better able to assess your situation there.''

Madam don't waste your money applying in the UK.

F2 visa makes more sense. However, he will need an I-20 from his wife’s school which may mean showing proof of funds to the school again enough for him, his wife and any children they have. If he doesn’t want that stress and he can prove convincingly that he has a good job that keeps him in Nigeria (that will be his tie to the country), then B1/B2 will be the best bet.
