The argument is not about whether Liverpool would have won in any other season or not, but that the form and point gap wouldn't have been what it is for Liverpool today, if the other team were not shit this season.

You're the one that doesn't understand your argument. Liverpool has been better than the competition. Whether the point gap is high or low is moot. There is no version of Chelsea in the last 5 seasons that would not be 15 points behind Liverpool now, same for United and Tottenham and Arsenal.

The competition is not why Liverpool have not lost enough points. After all they have built a large enough lead to be complacent like they got last season. The teams could be weak and Liverpool could have still lost 2 or 3 matches

We even sacked the manager that won UCL with us.

Lampard has a very low win percentage I have seen for a Chelsea manager in a while, I doubt if it's up to 50% anyway its the fault of the players but still hoping Lampard can bring the best out of this team so hopefully next season even if we don't buy a new CF and LB (also a CB if possible, someone better than our best defender Rudiger)
