Stock of 38 kobo EPs selling above #2 is an error, where stock of #1 and 80 kobo EPs are selling below #2.

They are trying to find their position.

Yeah. Their management uses a portion of their staff salary to consistently buy their shares and it is compulsory for all staff. I believe that is what have been supporting their price all these while.

The right offer of United Capital sold for 90k in 2014.

N9 million will buy 10,000,000 units. The investment got a dividend of N3.15 million in 2018, N2.7 million in 2019 and will get N4.5 million in 2020. Giving a total dividend after withholding tax of N10.35 million in the last three years, dividends received since 2014 will be close to N20 million. And a capital appreciation of N26 million.

The only devaluation that can happen is for CBN move from its unrealistic level of N307 to 365 where everyone has been since.

Once I can get a dividend yield of 15% and possibility of the dividends to be increased is their, I am good to go no matter how low the stock price falls.

An investment in Zenith bank shares which gave a dividend of N1 million in 2009, that same investment grew the dividend to N4 million in 2019. This beats inflation and currency devaluation

I cannot stop to envy those that bought Zenith at N9 and Gtbank at N12 some years back. It will be hard for those guys to sell no matter what as long as the dividend keeps coming in and the share price is above their cost.

We have a lot that can give you 14% and above. The interim and final dividend of Zenith will give you about 14%, interim and final dividend of UBA should give you close to 13%. I also consider the possibility of the dividends to be increased over the years

It would have been a free fall since the staff are not allowed to sell until after two years.

A bear Market is an answered prayer for highly liquid cash flow investors. Unfortunately Ucap at a price less than N1 about 5 years ago, would have given the Investor a dividend yield of over 20%

Thanks Sir, When people say bear, they forget that there are opportunities inside, When the whole market fall one does not need to be afraid, already you bought low. When individual stock falls, for reasons you cant manage one needs to take action. I can only keep my money under the pillow when stocks are over value. More so always invest in dividend stocks at very low price.

This is a faulty assumption.
...and some persons may have taken to it.

Let me let in on a secret; when u see a company declare a high double digit yield(div cashflow in view) that beats or even matches inflation(especially in an era of low single digit FI rate) with a qualification date that's close(matter of days or close weeks), u do not sell off in a hurry. ...or try to play out what u said.
...u only do that when its in months.

Inference: There's still a near 1 probability that UCAP will gain today and move to the N4+ range by next week.
But for the company's not-so-good YE report, the stock would've run close to or above N5, given the 50k pay out.
...VITAFOAM did it because of that.

Pls be guided accordingly.

NOTE: I do not own a single unit of UCAP at the moment. ...just given an honest piece of advice to those in it.
But then again, due diligence still applies as always pls.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 10:36am On Feb 21, 2020
The yield is still above 12%, how many companies will give this? Can the returns be replicated in the next year? I believe it is yes? Banks are still allowed to play OMO, UBA will always find a way to help UCAP, Africa Prudential play this market going forward.

OGG you're very correct. Comment withdrawn.
Please note that I do not intend to cause anyone to lose more revenue in Ucap, I made the comment based on what I saw in pre-market and from the point of view of jijo.
Day's high is 3.89 and the bids on ground were not that much, so I believed if someone sell at 3.89 earlier, he/she can re-enter lower again, cos that was the scenario that played out when market opened.
Ucap is still going up, but like I said xtyday, profit taking/pullback will be coming in-between.
Thanks for the correction anyway.
Make I go face the one wey dey do me for now. grin

The part in bold is possible.

Looking at their YE FP, the coy amassed a near 520% gain in AUM up from near N7.8B to over N40B !!
...it's clear that their romance in the fintach space particularly with cowrywise(a fintech venture) is yielding great fruits.
Though I think that growth pace might slow from here, but it can be sustained.(NTS from FP in view)

The recent license to operate in GHANA by the CMOs in that country also shows that management are up in line for it. ...it's another great opportunity to broaden their earnings base.

The only downside is the wave of successive drop in the FI market space, a part of where the coy feeds from.
However, I expect the drop to halt and gradually inch up from here. Management seems to be making good moves to cushion the degree of impact that should come with it though. ...one of which is the decision to continually diversify their income base.
Currently, the company has set up UNITED CAPITAL FINANCE... a consumer finance arm aimed at tapping from the available opportunities in the consumer mkt space.

I do not own the stock presently, but going forward, I have placed it as a top priority on my rader !!
