So Jim Ovia wasn't the one selling and it was't either of the directors too. No wonder there was no PDMR statement....

I noticed that. I was more interested in decrease in shareholdings.

Maybe they have other hidden accounts that are not reflected on the financial statement.

I have seen it. One entity left the 1B Units and above group between 2018 and 2019. And that entity sold about 2.8 billion units.......

This people should go and sit down. I was even expecting like N2.80 dividend. Same as last year. Not sexy.

Madam has become a strong voice here. Some people are following her advice tips like 5 and 6. She does not want to hear that she misled anyone.

12.5% dividend yield is not bad ooooo. next year if the performance is repeated then the cost would have dropped to 17.5 and before 5 years your Zenith will cost you less than 7 naira

Guy, what's your problem. 12.5% not sexy in this prevailing economic climate?

But frankly, I never intended to make @mcy56 give in to the impression of misleading anyone.
...my post was only intended to drive home a point.

Infact, I never took note of the part that said the post has been deleted.
@mcy56 u need not do that. No human is infallible. I also err sometimes.
If u had read that my post very well, u would've noticed that I never said ur assumption is not possible. ...I only said it would not happen in this case given the scenario around the stock in question(div yield, qualification date etc)
All the same, I apologise if my post didn't come out right.
Pls feel free to revert as always.

COMMENT ON ZENITH BANK RESULT
The result seems to be a flat one on the average, 8.13% increase in EPS. Not too far from our forecast, which ruled out any substantial increase in earnings for 2019 year end.

Let us see how the market will react in the next two weeks.

The right offer of United Capital sold for 90k in 2014.

N9 million will buy 10,000,000 units. The investment got a dividend of N3.15 million in 2018, N2.7 million in 2019 and will get N4.5 million in 2020. Giving a total dividend after withholding tax of N10.35 million in the last three years, dividends received since 2014 will be close to N20 million. And a capital appreciation of N26 million.

Jijo people will not like this one. grin

It is also good for JIJO ooooo. At least when you are caught inside, you will just wait for the dividend. But there are some units you will buy and still wait. Imagine buying 50m units at 90kobo and you are not selling at N3.50. At least comot some Naira to enjoy your life.
