Hello house, I want to find out from those that have applied for study visa in Lagos in recent times if they require certification of your degree certificates and if yes do they accept certification from high court or it must be done by federal ministry of education Abuja.

I am actually getting worried. Was at VFS Global Lagos State to submit my study visa application on the 2nd of January 2020, I was asked to get an extension letter from the school. The school gave me 8 weeks extension as requested by the embassy, but it's almost 8 weeks gone and I haven't heard from them. I have sent countless of messages to them via Veronica Loving's email address, but they never replied to those messages. And registration will be closing on the 28th of this month.

Applying for South African visa nowadays is hell of a task. Is there any other means of getting across to the embassy? I am really worried because I have spent so much time and money trying to secure this admission.. angry sad angry sad

Not necessarily, it's just use for Visa application purposes because you don't know when the visa will be process. It might exceed the date you booked

I paid 36k+ for everything. 25k+ for VFS fee 7k+ for Visa fee and 3k+ for courier charges though I applied for study visa I don't know if it's the same for other visa types

I just got my passport and was denied my study visa, with the reason being that I withdrew my admission from my school. This is very ridiculous. I never withdrew my admission and have just contacted my school only for them to confirm that my admission is still valid till mid March. I am very confused now. I don't even have much time to either reapply or appeal their decision.

Just to brighten up the atmosphere.

I got my PhD study visa around October last year so I decided to apply for my family ( my wife and two children), they submitted their applications on the 27th of November, 2019 and I started sending email to veronica after one month. All emails were ignored until this week monday that we got an email from Jonathan that we need to re-submit another MFA certified birth/marriage certificates that the one we submitted is not clear, same evening VFS rep called and said same thing. On Tuesday I did all the running around and on wednesday I got the re-certified docs back from Abuja and I submitted that same on Wednesday. We got sms yesterday that their passports are ready, today I picked it up on their behalf today and they were all granted accompany visit visa till 2022 with multiple entries based on the study permit I have.

Don't give up and keep pushing.

Heya bro. Sorry, UKZN is currently experiencing student unrest, maybe their emails were ignored due to the unrest. I will advise you to contact the school to differ your admission and attach this letter of delay, explain in details that you intend reapplying for your study permit since the resumption date has been shifted. UKZN will give you new admission letter to reapply, also state clearly to them that the embassy sent several emails with no reply.

Then after you reapplied send an email to normal veronica and co to explain your plight and provide them your admission officer email address alongside your supervisor if you have one already.

The samething happened to me but I was lucky because Jonathan told me they have been sending reminder with no response then I added provided him my supervisor's email along side the admission officer (which apparently they already have) and I send personal email to my supervisor and the admission officer, explaining that Homes affair has been trying to contact the school. I got my visa that same week.

In your case it might be that you stated in one of your email that the resumption date has passed or one of your documents is having closer admission date.

Don't give up I heard UKZN is a good school, I will be leaving next week.

All the best.

Please what documents did you submit for your wife and children. Also did you use your bank statement? I applied for my son and husband but used my mom as the sponsor. They were denied visa.

Hello ma,

I am sorry to hear that.

Since you are the one on study permit I will advise that you don't use your personal account statement to sponsor ur husband and son, however, you can use yours to support their applications.

Your mother in the same vein can't sponsor ur husband and ur son. What I will advise is that your mum should transfer a sizeable amount of money into ur husband account (from 1m upward should do) if your husband is working let him submit all his supporting documents and account statement then your mum and you can write introduction letter for them.

I can help in u with docs arrangement, let me know when they want to reapply.

I used my personal statement for my wife and children because I am not paying school fee so the money in my school should be enough for our upkeep for 3yrs.
