lordeoregon:full-time job? for where lol. Tbh having a computer science degree or other stem degree doesn't help anymore. In fact, most companies require applicants to identify whether they'll need future sponsorship. They use this as a criterion to filter most international students. Most jobs, boldly state that you "must be an American citizen to qualify". So if you're not innovative or a genius park well lol.(This where the top companies come in) 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello good day gurus in the house. I am retaking my first GRE next week barely 5 days away, my first GRE was low 296. I need help in selection of schools so i can send my score to them after my exam. I studied Computer Engineering majored in Computer Networks already certified in CCNA cisco certified networks Associate. My Ggpa is abit low 3.24/5, I have been finding it hard to come up with a list of universities for my Masters program in DATA SCIENCE during my research. But want to select 4 Universities using criteria like HIGH FUNDING opportunity(TA,Campus Jobs etc), high/moderately ranked school, Schools offering Data Science and Moderate tuition fee and high acceptance rate. Please i really want your input in the selection and even suggestion of universities that fit my profile, like Ambitious, Moderate and Safe Universities for my profile. List of Schools University of Texas Arlington California state university long beach Syracuse university New York Northeastern university Boston Ma San Jose University University of South Florida New York University (NYU) University of South Carolina University of Pennsylvania University of San Francisco University of Southern California University of California Berkeley 1 Like 1 Share |

I'm currently applying to 3 schools. Emory, Scad and Gsu. The former is an m.a in development practice, while the others are art related courses. Would it be a problem if I don't get admission from the three schools, when I go for my Visa interview? Also, about sponsorship, a friend in the US who isn't my relative will be sponsoring me through school. We've thought of presenting my brother's SOA, to the VO as evidence of sponsorship. Is this a good idea? |

Enireqx20: The VOs understand when people don't get admitted into all the schools they apply to, so put your mind at rest. However, your choice of schools will definitely raise a HUGE suspicion. All three schools are not only in GEORGIA, but they are seated in one city (Atlanta), and about 25mins drive from one another. VO will be like, "Without any controversy, this sister get plans for ATLANTA - one of the cities with the largest population of Nigerians. Dont make his job too easy for him, spread out. No worry, when u enter, u go transfer go continue ur business for GA A word is enough for the wise! 2 Likes |

RoninSignals: If d school said they can take evaluated transcript from AERC, then AERC is definitely a legit evaluator "according to d sch". Of course, she should have just stick to WES evaluation. https://exchange.etx.ng/OrderTranscript.aspx Check this link, Ext-ng could be able to resend an electronic version of unilorin transcript. This one will be a lot faster than the paper version. If she can pay someone to go to the school, get the transcript n FedEx it, that will be better. The problem is that I don't think she has time, and she can't just pick another school cos of distance. And this school she applied to will most likely not review her file if a doc is still missing. If she has some lecturer she can call, she will just have to press all the buttons at her disposal...sometimes, that person we fear so much might just do something surprising for us. Whatever you do, hurry up, and don't give up. 2 Likes 1 Share |

misslag:That's enough. You don't need to send any other application. You will be evaluated for assistantship as part of the admission process. |

Is it ok to accept an admission while still waiting for assistantship decision? Does it send a wrong signal that you can attend and afford the school without assistantship? |

I'm applying to the north Illinois University with my HND, if I'm sending my transcript to the school am i sending both OND and HND transcript? If yes, am i paying for both or just a single payment? Because you have to make payment request for your transcript in school. My school is bent on sending the transcript which reduces the transfering cost via WES, should I go through WES official page or send through my school. Your urgent advice please |

librangyps: Accept the offer of admission and wait for the assistantship decision. Many programs make assistantship decision after making admission offer and NO it does not send any wrong signal whatsoever. 2 Likes |

Hi Please what does it mean to accept an admission offer? I mean, after receiving an acceptance email, is there anything one has to do to show that s/he has accepted the offer? Or is it different with schools? sultanfortune: |

Dotman23: I won’t advice he takes a night bus, anything can happen on the way that might cause a delay. He might not get to Abuja on time. He can take a bus a day before his interview and spend just 5k or so for a night at an hotel close to the embassy. After the interview he can take night bus back to Ibadan. 2 Likes |

Dotman23: If you can go like 20 pages back during the nov/dec interview period, someone asked about hotels to lodge close to the embassy. |
