Carry your lies out of this thread biko
They went and put bumper with 300k on a 2011 car and now call it 2018 model. The thing always look annoying and abnormal when I see it on the road.

This is the disadvantages of allowing Benzedes people upgrading to Lexus. They should stick with that bullshit on their C300's not on this precious car.

Looks very ugly and awkward. Some will even put it on an 07 Camry cheesy.

I have never understood the sense behind these useless, cosmetic upgrades. If you so desire an upgraded version of your car, sell the current one and buy it. If you can't afford It, keep saving up till you can.

I swear. When they put Lexus-like bumper on 07 Camry, they start calling the car 012 Camry. Me, I'm looking at actual 012 Camry with no semblance with what they call 012 Camry and I'll be like "what the feck is wrong with these people?"

How is that a 2018 RX350?
Oh well, I get it, you're a middle man who's didn't do his homework prior to throwing up this advert. That Lexus is at best a 2015 Model. Please do not deceive ignorant or gullible people with that advert.

FYI, and to every uninformed buyers, here are pictures of what a 2018 Lexus RX looks like pls.
Thanks but you should have been informative at first

How do you guys run these Lexus cars when almost all including their SUVs and Crossovers require premium fuel?

Is that not something to worry about? That has been my worry purchasing one.

Once a month fill tank with fuel cleaner

Have it checked properly. Do NOT buy the car cos its a cheap deal. That car has highly complex electronic brake by wire system which when damaged, could set you back by 500,000, that engine when damaged could set you back by over 1million, I'm not gonna talk more about even the AC and electronics system that's also highly complex plus it's parts are pricey. You know that's an S class and 7 series competitor. Have it thoroughly checked before committing cash.

Also, you blamed your mechanic for the woes of your Venza, now when you buy this more complex car you may want to have him maintain destroy it abi?
Thanks for this if I check if and everything is fine would you recommend I buy it? as for the mechanic him juju don clear for my eye, never going back to him. I have Gazuzz to the rescue now.

Since you have Gazzuzz, you can pay him handsomely to inspect it for you prior to purchase. That car isn't what someone would pay for without having assurance of its state. If everything checks out, go for it.

If your Lexus shows Check Engine and also VSC, pls run a scan on it and post codes here, I'd be glad to help you resolve it (as long as its not on one of those days I feel lazy) grin
It’s just check VSC

You need your steering wheel and yaw rate calibration done. They're undone.
To do that, get your car on a flat surface, tyre pointing straight ahead, and ignition off get a paper clip and undo the fold alternatively, get a thin single copper wire of 1.5mm of no more than 6inch, with your ignition off and insert one end of the wire or clip into #4 and the other end into #12 of your OBD II port, turn on your ignition till all your cluster lights comes on. You will notice some lights starts to blink. ABS, VSC, Tyre pressure sensor lights, traction control etc will blink. You allow the clip/wire there for 10-15 seconds, then turn off the ignition, and remove the paper clip/wire. Start the car as you would normally start, and drive off ahead without turning your steering for 10-25m your VSC lights shouldn't come on again.

Below is a picture of how to calibrate yaw rate sensor using paper clip/wire on the OBD II port.

DISCLAIMER : while I have done this countless times and it's been successful 99.9% of the times, I shall NOT be held liable for any malfunctions or damage to your car in the course of attempting this.

SUV or sedan (salon car)?

As far as I know Lexus doesn't have bad car. It's not a brand where they'll tell you to avoid this model because the leg will pull on the highway, avoid this one, the engine is soft like baloon, this one catches fire when parked (like some European shitbox models), avoid this one it has SAMS or electrical or baloon shock issues. All Lexus cars are good but if you're not very financially willing in terms of maintainance, avoid the executive models like Lexus Ls, Gs, GX (Lexus Prado version) for a starter.

Start with any RX (SUV crossover) or ES (sedan). Make sure it's not seriously accidented abroad or converted from left to right. Also check underneath by yourself for rust.

Na Lexus ES na. If you fancy something smaller you can go for the IS but keep in mind that IS ground clearance is very low so you will be having issues with your bumper if you always travel bad road.

I actually think I prefer es... What's the best model to go for within the range of 2-2.5mil that is worth the value and also good for Nigeria road

With that amount you'll tokunbo get Es330 with change. Es350 you'll get that minimum of 2.8 for tokunbo.

You can still buy a Nigerian fairly used Es350 for lower if you don't mind.

Pls ive been using Mobil 1 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic for over 8 months now and I am considering switching to Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance, so I would really love to know if it will have any negative effect on my Lexus GS300.

Thanks

There is no negative effect in switching, but at the sametime there is no need to switch .. The only reason I would is to enjoy a longer oil change and if my car is high mileage.. High miles is 75k miles and up...
Also price difference matters, some sellers do sell Extended performance same price as the Mobil 1 Advanced oil ... So why not go for the extended performance than and get better protection

My miles is 85k so that’s actually the reason I’m considering switching to extended performance

That is fine to switch.. All my cars either on Uber or personal cars are high miles.. So for added protection better to use high mileage oil... High mileage oil will help protect the seals..

That's not what extended means. Extended means go longer between oil changes. "High mileage" is what you're talking about and you don't need that till 150-200k miles

Good morning house,
I'm new on this thread...
I drive a 2000 Lexus RX300. Recently my remote control key started misbehaving, it won't respond until I get to the driver's door and some cases I press the remote more than 30 times before it respond. If I get angry and open the door manually, the alarm starts blasting and it's embarrassing. Please what may be the problem; the receiver or the remote?
Personally I have resolved to buy another remote control key from online. Hope I can able to program it myself when it's delivered to me...
PS: Screenshot of the key online shop is attached...

I got Rx 350 of recent and noticed the steering shakes a little when I match brake. Also, it occasionally makes sound as if the break pad is bad and I just changed it. What could be the problem
