Okwori12:Mr man. Joining the armed forces (Army, Navy or Airforce) is a choice. Nobody is forcing anyone. If you cant/wont join them, then face your business and allow those who are in to do their job because they signed for it. If you are not interested in joining them. Shut up |

UKkev: You think he shouldn’t speak up against perceived injustice in his country? You think he doesn’t have a right to fight for things to change in his country? You think if he feels the government is deceiving his countrymen then he should keep quiet and allow it continue, just to make it easier for government to continue in their perceived deceit? You think if he openly alerts people about what they should be aware of, then he’s doing a disservice to his country rather than trying to make it better? 1 Like |

tsdarkside:my life has so much dignity that it will be a real comedown for me to touch a gun in the name of fighting for Nigeria Why will you need an educated southerner with the dream of working in one of the hitech firms in silicon valley to join an army that is controlled by largely clueless men. Common you have the numbers in the street of kano,Kaduna, and kastina to freely join the army. To them that could be a dream come true. 1 Like |

Okwori12: The glamour and elitism attached to military rule as well the "above law" and indiscriminate abuse of civilians added to the myth of rapid progress through coup and ascension to power.....all these made military attractive in past. Going forward and with creation of regional security network the abuse of citizens by army will definitely go away, also military rulership is no longer an appeal and with increasing volatility in peace and war necessitating a soldier going to battlefront will vastly reduce interest and level the plain. 2 Likes |
