Hi JustMellow
1. I am 26yrs
2. No it is not related i was posted to Oyo state secretariat
3. The only skill i have is catering, which i run a small business on that and i do have my CAC certificate
4. My mum has a farm land, poultry and she has houses she rented out
5. No i haven't done any
6. This is my first application, i am planning to submit my application ending of the month
7. My mum is my sponsor

Hello Faith243,

You have the necessary documents that can serve as proof to both refusal reasons, if you can build a perspective on which the VO can gets familiar with your situation. Include all relevant certification/document gotten during your NYSC that proves your active engagement whether voluntarily or paid. Also, get a reference letter from the place of your PPA. Furthermore, you can enlighten the VO that prior after concluding your NYSC, it was based on personal decision which is mandatory for you to further your studies or to achieve a certain certificate/degree or as the case maybe. That this you ensure that you are readily available for the job market in your country. That with this move, you would have an undivided focus to be a well-established professional without any thought of going back to school.

Depending on when you business was registered. if its prior before your NYSC, you can state that even before your NYSC, you have be gainfully engaged as a self-employed in the professional line of catering. If possible, provide document proof for ceremony contracts (wedding/birthday/burial/) likewise receipts for payments. Then include your CAC and any other government recognized document (if applicable) linked to your business.

If you don't have any landed property, get your mum to provide any substantial document as proof to show you have a solid connection to her poultry farm either as inheritance, co-ownership, co-manager or any better idea you may come up with. If the farm has a CAC and any other government recognized document, it would give it solid weight. This analysis is directed to both the home ties and employment status.

Finally, draft a good LOE to respond to the VO's concerns.

Firstly, my sister works as a medical worker in UK. She paid the tuition fee from there backing it up with sponsorship letter telling them that the fund in her statement of account would-be replenished throughout the academic year. The programme is just a year graduate diploma in project management. I had my first degree in civil engineering since It was almost 10 years I graduated, that was why I opted for a diploma course.

Secondly, my son lives with the family of his mother but he visits me once in a while. Besides he is only 7 yrs old. My plan is to take him home after I get married next year. That was the reason I didnt include my fiancee and him. Please how do I address that in my new application cos I m confused

Hello Sim2003,

...in addition to my previous response to your post.

It is better to correct the error in your next application, so it won't come to bite you in the future when you intend to process their visas to meet you. Include your son and attach his birth certificate, depose an affidivate that he is your son), and address your marital status and your intentions to get married in your LOE (only give relevant information). You have to give substantial reasons for opting for a Diploma and ways it would impact you.

I used the deed of gift of land in my name that I would use for the building of my studio upon my arrival to the country

Hello Hadedee,

Quoting my previous response to your post:

"Also, you failed to show you have a compelling home tie, work on this area too."

I meant that you were not able to convincing the VO with your SOP that you have a solid home tie to compel your return back home irrespective of the added documents. You should re-work on your letter and address the VO's concerns accordingly.

Hello please am new here .I just got my admission from Mohawk college Hamilton.I want to pay my school fees through one of my friends that lives in the US who’s a US citizen .Please is this advisable as regards the visa process.Me I don’t want issues with my Bank when someone transfer that amount of money to me .Please I need help .Thanks

Hello Boyeno,

Anybody can pay your tuition fees on your behalf. The most important thing is for the school to receive it and issue you a tuition receipt payment so you can include it to your application. If you trust the person enough, go ahead and have it paid.

Thank you so much, I will consider reapplying then. I will drop my SOP here later so you all can help access it.
Can I use LOE as a reconsideration letter?

Hello Omohwummy,

It won't be advisble to drop your SOP here to avoid plagiarism. NO, rather the LOE has to be in a written tone that explains to the VO how your situation has changed. Do well to use it to address each refusal reason.

Good day chief, I just realized I can study in Canada and it seems alittle late to apply to some schools, kindly help with schools that are still open for admission either fall or winter this year or January resumption next year tops. I am aware McGill is still open but in need more options and cheap schools too. Memerial Uni has a special fee of about 20,000 dollars additional to the tuition fee for MASc and I can't afford that. The M.Eng do not have the special fee but application has expired.
My profile is :
Electrical/Electronic Engineering ,4.03/5 graduated 2015.
Proposed course is Electrical and computer Engineering
No IELTS, No GRE.
Thanks in anticipation

I don't think I know of any. Perhaps, you could use google as a compass.

Hi guys, please I need an answer. I tried linking my account online since I submitted through paper. It said that records not found but I have created the account.

Does it mean than I would not still receive emails from cic or it's until I link it successfully that's when I would not now be seeing emails again?

Hello Fatkideric,

Sometimes, linking paper app to online could be so tiring and annoying. Keep trying and make sure you are doing the right thing.

However the outcome of whether or not you were able to link it successfully, you will still get email update, just that, you won't be able to get live updates on your app.

I need HELP!
First, I am using GCE, how do i get my transcript?

Secondly, Must the sponsor be your family member, cos that's another challenge

Hello Maybs,

You don't need a transcript to apply for a Canada study visa. However, you can include the GCE certificate with a GCE scratch card.

Its not compulsory that a sponsor must be a family member but its better if it is.

You have to go to the State Criminal Investigation Division in the state you reside. Just say police report and they would grab. The price outside Lag shouldn't be more than 10k.

Hello Yusbab,

Apply to colleges only for a PGD/C.
You can check Fanshawe college, Lambert college, Seneca college, Centennial college if they have a related course. Also, you can check Memorial university for their Graduate Diploma in Toxicology (I doubt for your CGPA but there is no harm enquiring from them)

It depends on the reasons. If the usual generic reasons, then you don't need LOE. But be sure to indicate that you have been denied before.

please here is my email if u feel like sending me a mail. kcjust.info2@gmail.com 09037938274.

Hello Younghero2,

You can get it done by yourself if you take your time to go through the thread. Its a straightforward process. But however, the decision on whether to apply yourself or patronizing an agent is to your own decision. For the documents to submit, check the first page of this part 16 and also, surf through the thread to see documents submitted by previous successful applicant. Another thing to take into consideration, there is no two application. Do well to package your application to properly reflect your situation.

Hello People.

How can one address this refusal reason

"I have reviewed the application. The applicant's plan of studies appears vague and poorly documented. According to the applicant's current or future employment prospects, I have accorded less weight to their employment ties to their country of residence. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application."

Hello Nannanie10,

Re-work your LOE and provide detailed explanation on the employability of your course in your home country. Tell the VO how you plan to utilize the gained knowledge either been a self-employed or to help build an already existing organization. Then, link your current job role to your prospect course and analyze ways it would help develop you and improve your career.

If possible, include new (relevant) evidence that substantially prove your level of establishment from an economic standing. Think outside the box.

Hello Gninea,

Gninea:
Somebody should please help me na..am planning to submit first week of March...please how can I get police clearance...and when writing my sop and loe, which should I place more emphasis?

It should focus more on giving detailed explanation to areas that proves or exposes the weakness in your application. You understand your situation better. So assessment it and provide (strong and convincing) reasons and clarity.

Gninea:
Please house I need your help...in 2017 I was rejected for a visitors visa and now I want to apply for a study visa...would I still need to write LOE on how I hVe tackle my previous reasons for rejection or SOP is just enough.

It depends on the number of the refusal reasons pointed out by the VO. If its maybe 1 or 2, you can decide to address them in one letter. However, you can use the SOP to tell the VO about your study intention and the LOE to address the refusal reasons.
