Truth be told, only boys or last sons tend to be pampered.

My sister who is a feminist favorite child is her last child and only son. He has 2 older sisters.

I used the word ''tend''. That means it is not always so.

In many lands, where people choose to have only a kid, many of these kids are not spoilt.

most of the times they have too many siblings to cater for and they must involve them in every family issue when married to you. would rather avoid all that biko
I see. It means too many people don't know when to consult who or for what, cuz your life ishe your ish.

While I was out on my first date with my girlfriend, she asked me how many sibling I have, to which I replied. She then proceeded to ask the number of males and females. Then I told her I only have sisters. That moment, her face dropped because we were already Into each other, I could tell she was disappointed.

Women want you for themselves. She wants all your attention, resources and finances.

Brothers generally don't care.

BUT having sisters automatically puts a check to this. Sisters can smell bullshit from miles away cos it takes one to know one.

She sure is experienced with life lessons. She said the exact truth.Ladies avoid only sons for your own peace of mind, talking from my personal experience.

Especially the Igbo ones,
Especially the ones from Anambra. Izzôu no vex o. grin grin

They are ready to kick you out of the house because of their family. Naija men have serious issues balancing their nuclear and extended family. The kinda questions and comments that comes out of their mouths, gives you a clear picture of their mindsets.

I have an only brother and he was showing these traits. His gfs didn’t like me and I always wondered why. Till the mumu opened his mouth to tell me he told his gf I will always come before any woman, because we grew and suffered together. I told him to face his babe o, make e no come dey disturb my own guy.

The number one issue is that only son normally die earlier (don't get me wrong because it not your portion in ijn) reason is that the eyes of the enemies is always on them.
but when there plenty boys the enemies will be confused who to channel their arsenal first and most time it will be on the first son.

I wish I could say the same for myself. The opposite is the case with me.

Never felt the privilege of being an only son.

I think it depends on individual families and style of upbringing, hence shouldn't be generalised.

Dont judge a book by its cover. I am an only son too, with 6 sisters. I know exactly how u feel..0

Even if people say men are unemotional and some cruel, it can never be a guy with sisters especially youngest son. Also, they seem well nurtured, being in the midst of nurturers, they will be the last to behave indecently even for cases of men holding their 'crotch' publicly.

Bro...It is no stereotype but the absolute truth.

The level of favoritism that goes into being the only son is astonishing!

You are likened to the “Golden egg” who will carry the family’s legacy (hence being a spoilt child). Don’t allow the 21st century’s manipulation that all child are equal deceive you. You will always get favored by your parents than your siblings. undecided

This one you are complaining about being the only son, what do you want those of us who are the First born son to do?

[b]Do you know the level of misconception directed towards our path? Abeg abeg no vex me this afternoon

You nailed it ooo.... Wetin make we wey be first born son do ooo.... Lmao, the kind pressure wey dey our head, him think say na fluke. Op abeg no vex me self this afternoon ooo

She is very right with her concerns it might seem like a stereotype but it's basically what is obtainable here in this part of the world. An only son is seen as the one to continue the family name hence all the attention is focused on him.whoever he ends up marrying will have to compete to continue that supply of attention he once had from his family.

Also his family will always want to keep an eye on their so called "heir" since it has always been that way for years , marriage will not make them back off.

I married an only son too.

He is attached to his mother and sisters.

Therefore, I ignored them all.
I can't fight for him.

They advised him to leave the house when I lost my job years ago.

He left the house with our pregnant daughter in law for me at home.

God saw us thru. I did not ask him for a kobo.
When his brain set itself back, he returned home. Once he comes in, he goes straight upstairs to the bedroom.

I only have a life. And I will enjoy it to the fullest.

Your own woman will come too!
