Iaai.com is simple. But before anything, you must have a budget you want to work around. Its really important. Another hint is, you only consider states close to the ports.... I.e east coast. But new York is an exemption for now. Just download the USA map and get an idea of the states.

I have been studying the sites. My questions might look silly, but please tolerate me.
The damaged cars. Who handles the repairs after payments. The estimated cost of repair is more than the actual cost of the salvaged vehicle. What is the advantage in all this.

Got to Sagam interchange at 10:45am, left Sangotedo 5am.

Ok. Na same normal route was thinking there is another route, why from sangotedo u come.pass Berger u suppose pass Ajah to sagamu Abi the road far pass berger own. though I haven't tried it. the one i tried was from oshodi link ikorodu to sagamu to Ibadan and I regret taking that route, would rather be in mowe/ibafo/redeem traffic for 5hrs than that route

You do unless otherwise negotiated. That's the meaning of salvage title. Insurance calculated the cost of repair as not worth it and replaced the car instead.
That's why it's not something to just jump into. If you know what you are doing and can get it fixed cheaply then yes. You NEVER buy without having someone knowledgeable about car repair go check it out.

E be like say na here the wahala start

The traditional taxis don't know watsup they saw it coming.

I have a feeling traditional taxi drivers in Lagos just want to do 2 or 3 trips n call it a day. That's why dey have ridiculous rates.

The kind of success n acceptance uber n Bolt had in Lagos can't be said to b replicated in the Fct.

The reason: taxi fares in Abuja were already deregulated before they came,

( e.g from central area to Airport is #3,000. No story,) so wen uber n deir likes came, they had to FIX their rates around DT too.

infact, you cud bargain fares like you were buying stuff in d market.

But in Lagos, they are adamant on a fixed price. Yes, I understand, the challenges of traffic n getting another ride back to your base.

Question: what are their leaders doing? Nothing, they can't embrace or fathom the competition that is on them,

Their union leaders give themselves title without adding one single value.

Coming home to even ehailing guys . Last week, some pple who called themselves Comrade so n so told they met d govt n dey negotiatied.

I was like you guys didn't negotiate NADA. You just swallowed whatever d Alausa guys brought before you.

Of course, uber n Bolt will play ball cos they only take a CUT of the POOL.

I have not used that Ajah route before, the farthest I have gone on that Lagos Epe Expressway is ‘Eleran Igbe Ibeju-Lekki’. I did an offline trip there on Monday and I don’t think I want to return there anytime soon.

No negotiations whatsoever, it was clear.
Another problem is soon they will force the so called Union under MC oluomo sorry NURTW.
That's where the whole thing will land, this is Lagos not US or any other city that can be considerate.

I was planning on an early trip to the Island. I just off app and spoilt myself for the whole day.
In another news,a request came when I needed it most sometime last year.got to location only to see the rider was a taxify driver.nigga told me he needed battery to jumpstart his car, cause his client was going to the island.i was sad but was overwhelmed by the helper in me. I obliged him and even taught him how to do idle reset to stabilize the car. he was very happy. he offered me money, but I turned it down. I'm sure the nigga wouldve been glad if he was not offered anything, cause good people don't expect rewards.the smile is enough compensation. grin

Okaaay!
Most of the cars there were displayed by the Insurance company. That means you must have someone in the US to inspect and coordinate the process and repair for you. And the person will likely collect commission too.

an idle reset is done when battery head has been disconnected for a while,or change to a new battery.

1 make sure the vehicle is at operating temperature.if it's not, warm it up to it

2 turn on ignition but don't start vehicle

3 switch off ignition, then start vehicle immediately.

4 step on brakes, then lower handbrakes. pls make sure no light accessories are on as this will drain the power needed to completely process. light accessories like inner lights,AC lights etc should be switched off .
let car warm up till it gets to operating idle or shaking stops.dont remove leg from brakes while process is on.
it usually takes 5 to 30 mins depending on car.
enjoy your ride bro cheesy
