@Barbie,please if a nurse has been out of clinical practise for over 14 years, what are her chances of working as a nurse in UK? Can you help put this question across if you can as well during the conference. Thanks a lot. |

Please is it possible for one to immigrate as a nurse with an RN and bsc without doing internship or nysc. I’m yet to start my internship and I just obtained a Canadian work permit. Can I start my nnas application and move to Canada without doing internship in Nigeria especially 1 Like |

veleta:Have you been maintaining your license in Nigeria? You would first have to do the remedial courses to get re licensed in your country of training. |
Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by veleta: 10:56pm On Feb 21, 2020 |
@Vickeyi,thanks for your prompt response dear, no the licence hasn't been up to date at all. Am asking for someone as she is residing outside Nigeria. Doing remedial course is going to be a tough one, that means she has to come back to Nigeria to do them. Thanks a million for your prompt response. 1 Like |

ifemaco: It's the same because BnSc was not put into consideration when applying. But after getting to UK, some NHS consider the years of experience after getting the pin. |

Please can a BNSC holder evaluate public health transcript with WES to get 2 or more certificates for Canada's express entry? |

@Solarpower1 I think the very best you can do for yourself at this moment is to write and pass ielts and see many doors opening. Cheers SOLARPOWER1: |

Iamemblem: I already have ielts 8.0 on overall average but I don't know how to go about the whole Canadian nursing procedure.. Am I supposed to apply for the general Canadian express entry? |
Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Iamemblem(m): 9:32am On Feb 26, 2020 |
Wow. You are indeed genius with 8.0. You have gotten yourself the access key to express entry but I need to know if you got experience and prove of fund and evaluation of certificates as it's second stage of Canada express entry. With all this, Canada is DIY and might take you up to 6 months or more processing time. My friend spend total 6, 3 weeks to land in Canada with family as early child educator NOC. Why not consider going to the UK first and continue Canada process while you are working? SOLARPOWER1: 2 Likes |

Iamemblem: Thanks for the response...I just completed my internship... Are you saying UK is easier without job experience? And like how much is the prove of fund you spoke about? |
Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Iamemblem(m): 5:40pm On Feb 26, 2020 |
SOLARPOWER1: Yes UK is easier, faster and even without experience. Check down to know more about PoF https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html |

SOLARPOWER1:8.0 is an overall good attempt but what exactly are your individual band scores. For you to be successful against the current CRS trend for canada, your ielts should be more than or equal to 8777 in LwRS. You should be less than 31 with 2 evaluated degrees. To be able to help you better, Tell me the following details: Age Marital status Years of work experience Highest educational qualification Knowledge of french Sibling in canada |
Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by vickyehi: 7:26pm On Feb 26, 2020 |
Amy360:Not to discourage you or anything, but unlike other countries , canada requires you to be within canada to complete the credential process. This means that it is virtually impossible to complete the licensure processes without being a temporary or permanent resident of canada. This is because along the evaluation process, you would be required to take exams in canada. You might be required to do a top up program also offered only in Canada. The easiest way to immigrate to canada is the Express entry system and being a registered nurse doesnt give you any edge over a HR person. Refer to the sister thread below for more information on Express entry. https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/392#86872249 My advice is to head to the uk first as it is cheaper and faster for you to start practicing. 1 Like |
