Toju200:edit: sorry didn't read your post properly. But I must say even if officially there are only 2 camo patterns, recent pics of Nigerian soldiers on the front line suggests the old patterns haven't been phased out completely as of yet P. S this isn't a jib at anybody... Have great respect and admiration for your boys on the front line |

Streamlined logistics is still something a lot of militaries on our continent can't or won't get right, for various reasons. The elegant simplicity of standardising on 1 truck to perform multiple functions has so many innumerable benefits, it's a no brainer. 2 Likes

lionel4power: Hear! Hear! I've lurked here for a very, very long time. I despair for the depths to which this thread has sunk. Hell, the high esteem nincompoops had their occasional intelligent contribution. Honestly don't understand why teh afore-mentioned old guard persist. 4 Likes |

can we talk about intelligence capabilities? we have talked so much about hard wares but looking at what is obtainable in other parts of the world, one is tempted to think that the likes of DSS we have in Nigeria are just plain ineffective and incompetent. what could be the reason?why is it that other countries have better intel about our country than we do? is it just about technology? the world of intelligence is what i know very little about and if you guys can add a bit of that to this beautiful thread, it will be much appreciated. i hope i am not derailing the thread as this still has to do with security too although less or no pictures, i suppose @jln115

They should have kept low rate production of the Samil series going 2 keep the factory line open. A civilian version, (properly) marketed to Africa would have been enough to at least break even. A Samil could be made for at least half of the cost of a new Merc Zetros. Unfortunately SAMAG (civvie version) and the ADE diesel plant was never supported by the ANC gov. and was left to die. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYy8BHYcEqg Lurker4Long: 2 Likes |

Toju200: There is something unique about that of Iran. Targeted at ruling class. Vice president, ministers, etc and even the rate at which it is spreading is high. |

lionel4power:these are not the old guards, the old guards are those who saw the days of Sirius black, those who observed the fall of the old thread, and those who celebrated the death of courageous Hedima, those were the days to comment on the Nigerian military not today when the war against terror is beginning to look like a war against nothing. 1 Like |

They replaced the Mepro M21 sight with a superior EOTech on this NNSBS Tavor. It is rugged an reliable but some users claim that the Mepro M21 is not performing good in certain light conditions, eg when shooting from a shaded or darker area and your target is in lit area.
