Thanks for the response...I just completed my internship... Are you saying UK is easier without job experience? And like how much is the prove of fund you spoke about?
Am sorry but with just 1 year experience, there is no way you would get an invitation to apply to the Canadian Express entry process.

See the link below for more info

8.0 is an overall good attempt but what exactly are your individual band scores.
For you to be successful against the current CRS trend for canada, your ielts should be more than or equal to 8777 in LwRS.
You should be less than 31 with 2 evaluated degrees.

To be able to help you better,
Tell me the following details:
Age
Marital status
Years of work experience
Highest educational qualification
Knowledge of french
Sibling in canada

Thanks a lot for the response

Age : 32years

Marital status: single (but will be married this year by God's grace)

Years of experience : only one year internship plus 8months previous job experience as an IVF nurse before my one year internship..

Highest degree: Bachelor of nursing science

Sibling in canada : my elder brother is already married in Canada.

They also need your transcripts to assess your course work, hours of training etc, your certificate does not provide those details
Thanks barbies,
Does that mean my University has to send my transcript to Nmc UK or I can scan and send a student copy?

Not to discourage you or anything, but unlike other countries , canada requires you to be within canada to complete the credential process. This means that it is virtually impossible to complete the licensure processes without being a temporary or permanent resident of canada.

This is because along the evaluation process, you would be required to take exams in canada. You might be required to do a top up program also offered only in Canada.

The easiest way to immigrate to canada is the Express entry system and being a registered nurse doesnt give you any edge over a HR person.

Refer to the sister thread below for more information on Express entry.

My advice is to head to the uk first as it is cheaper and faster for you to start practicing.

But I want to ask, is it not possible travelling to write Nclex in the philippines and then use it for Canada? I am not clear on this, I hear people talking about going there to write nclex alot? Pls throw in any info you have on this.

Hello,

I'm not doing a top up online, but part time.

However, we're doing a module on "Evolving Health and Social Care Agenda" as our first module.

CowbellY:
Hello,

Has anyone in the UK with an RN attempted a BSc Nursing Top Up ? Online ?

Is it normal to be required to do a Professional Development in Health and Social Care module first ?.

Thanks.

I was told Nigeria's RN is rated as Level 3. embarassed

Seems everyone has to do an associate first.

Based on the information provided here, you would not get invited to apply if you submit an express entry profile.

OPTIONS:
if you are male and your intended is a female less than 30yrs with 2 degrees or a masters degree, then they can be the principal applicant and would qualify as a family using your spouse's profile.

Use the link below to manipulate your parameters as they relate to your situation.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Note that recent draws have been for those in the 470s.

Lastly go to the Express entry thread to learn more about the process.

Writting the NCLEX-RN is the last stage of the canadian and USA process (that is after all evaluations are done and the candidate receives an authorization to test from the BON).

So even if you are fully licensed in USA (including passing the NCLEX-RN), it means NOTHING to the canadian process at the onset. You would still have to get evaluated by Nnas and progress from there, and that often means the test of skills they conduct and a bridging program if gaps were found during the test of skills.

I can almost guarantee you that gaps would be found if you are coming straight from Nigeria to get tested.

NMC UK has no issue at all. They reach out to NMCN almost immediately.
Login to your NMC profile to see if council verification has been indicated as *requested*

The only thing is that NMCN will not send a notification whether they got any mail. However, NMC UK is prompt enough, and you can also reach them through a phone call or an email to verify if a mail has been sent.

Thanks
Thanks, unfortunately the conversation didn't hold again. Needed to verify his story, so I told him to send me his IELTS results, and that he should blur his Name and exam number(so he won't feel that I wanna use his result for anything) I needed to be sure he is truly who he says he is. Na so I no come hear from bros again ooo.lol

I've heard similar case like this happen to me last year. Gave someone an information, not knowing that he was a visa agent. After giving him all the information, this Same guy can back on nairaland and was doing adverts that he has good links to Germany and Czech republic bla bla....so i told myself that I won't fall for any shit like that again.

Yes but I also asked earlier.

Have you attempted a top-up ? Were you allowed to proceed directly into BSc Nursing without an associate/graduate module first ?.

I've not attempted any top up yet, but I've got some good number of schools ready to accept just RN and after a year, you would be awarded BSc Nursing (Hons)

If you can share them then, because someone else also confirmed that an associate certificate is requested.

Or perhaps you apply and share your experience so we can know better

Are u a registered nurse? If yes, RN or BscN? For UK that I'm very sure about. They don't require any associate certificate. Let the person that told u so send the link here, so I can take a look at it. I have my own links if u wanna take a look at it

But Charltex said the same thing as well... Sigh.. I'm not arguing with you. I actually want to be proved wrong, so I have a case to challenge with. That's why I brought it here.

Please show us the links. So I and Charltex can challenge this, if you know anyone who also didn't have to apply, perhaps you can share so we know what schools to apply to.

And it's RN
