U are quite deluded, This would be my last reply. Paternity is not the issue here, The child is davido's child, no one would even go to that discussion of weda the son is his or not.

The case will be judged in a customary court and the primary basis for judgement would be cultural ownership of the child, which on this case lies on the girl and her Father who is the head of the family where she belongs.

Even a civil court will never grant davido custody to a little child, the mother would easily get custody and davido will visit and pay child support.

Either way, the child isn't going home with davido.

It's you that is deluded. You guys have this belief like a religious dogma and no amount of logic or proof can make you see reason.

In Nigeria paternity is determined by;
* By acknowledgement - means acknowledgement by the biological father
* By presumption - means someone presumed to be the father
*By proof - DNA test

No where in any Nigerian law is bride price or marriage proof of paternity. Some igbo people just want to use blackmail to get bride price and force people to marry their daughters.

The funniest thing is that a man can be forced to assume paternity by the child's mother

Read more about what the Nigerian law says says about paternity here - https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenigerialawyer.com/what-the-law-says-about-paternity-of-a-child-or-an-adult-in-nigeria-by-o-g-chukkol/amp/

Paternity cases can be very complicated and complex. According to traditional laws the rights of the child's father's is recognised, even if no marriage to involved. The father can only be denied paternity by the girls family if he denies paternity at first and later change his mind to claim, or fails to show up to claim paternity when the child is born only to come some years later, after the child would have been nurtured by the girls family. It's in such instances that the girl's father can claims the child.

I think most igbos don't even understand their own culture. It's in certain instances that a girls father is allowed to claim children born in his house. Such arrangements are known ab initio, and the child father is aware.
In Ibo custom, a man who has no male child may persuade one of his daughters to stay in the family home and not marry. The purpose of such an arrangement is for the daughter to produce a male successor to her father and thus save the family line from threatened extinction”.
And under the circumstances, therefore, any child she bears whilst living and remaining with her family is regarded as the legitimate child of her father at birth.

I'll advice you never to make presumptions about what you know nothing about or to ascribe a quality to urself cos you'll never know how stupid it will make you look when you get educated about them later. every woman/girl belongs to a family at any stage- her father's family or husband's family. each of the two families owes responsibility to her while she is under them. likewise she owes everything she got to the family. Also, if she has a child while not married, she is having it for her father because she is under him. If she has a child while married (whether by her husband biologically, through extra marital affair, or through adoption) the baby belongs to her husband because she is under him. It is very clear, unless the rightful owner decides to hand over the child to the biological father. No court can rule otherwise except tanko's court.

Which Yoruba they take their traditions seriously? Don't forget say the child's name na Ifeanyi, can you imagine that (Omo baba olowo Yoruba to somo re ni ifeanyi), u think its for fun. Very soon Ifeanyi go dey speak igbo, u know se majority of Yoruba parents of today's no dey care if their child no fit speak thier father's language, anyway they won't even teach Ifeanyi.

You clearly don't know the Yorubas if you think they don't take traditions seriously. Davido would find it very easy because the law backs him up

Repeat this in front of a judge and be surprised.

Chioma's father has 100% claim over Davido and Chioma's child. Funny

Which judge are u talking about? This is purely a case that would be solved in a cautionary court
